Dogs on property but safely secured away from the field during visits. You may hear our pups from inside the house or their outdoor runs, mainly when you first arrive. You will definitely hear our boarding guests in our back kennels. They are safely secured and will remain that way during your stay...unless y'all want to train or hang:)

The driveway is gated, but not dog proof as you can walk around it and is only to prevent delivery drivers and such from driving onto the property for our dogs and their own safety. we do ask if a delivery driver approaches the gate during your visit that you keep any off leash pups close while they make their delivery.

Description

Half acre partially fenced field welcoming all kinds of pups to work, train or play! Agility course, open field, tie out run always available. Other working/sport equipment available by request, just let us know what your pup is into and we'll let you know what else we have to offer. We are happy to say this is a NO judgement zone. Aggressive/reactive or crazy high energy dog you don't take places as often as you'd like because of the response you get from people, bring them here! We get it (really..we do) and will be sure to give you and your pup the space you need with no added side eye ;) Need help applying training for those "problems"? Ask us about that, too! Working/sport dog that needs somewhere to train where handler doesn't have to be on guard or worry about misinterpretation, bring them here! Our world revolves around working dogs and training... we get it. We respect what you're doing and the space and understanding you need to get it done. We also love to train and meet new dog people and would love to meet and join you if we're home, but only at your request. Just a good ol' pet dog that wants to have some fun? Bring them here! We have all the things for a perfect play date for you and your pup to just relax and enjoy! There will be a few toys, mainly balls, available but we have more to offer at your request! Let us know what would help make y'all's day the best and we'll let you know what we have!

Hazards

-Rural area with some wildlife around, mostly bunnies, deer and our chickens to beware of for the more reactive pups. A tie out run is available for your use, approx 30 ft long. -PLEASE keep pups (and yourself) off and away from the woodpile beyond the orange fencing behind the agility course. It is NOT safe for climbing, heavy logs could shift and cause injury to you and your pup! We ask that you not access that area beyond the orange fence at all as we do not maintain the grass back there, it is thick&tall and can conceal potential hazards (critters, holes or uneven ground, etc.). Help yourself to any sticks for fetch and chew along the woods line of the other 2 sides, there are plenty :)

Additional rules

-Our property is not fully fenced, the field is surrounded by wood line on 3 sides and there are some sections of deterrent fencing but not secure or intended to contain dogs that don't want to be contained. If you do not have a STRONG recall, please keep them on leash. There is a tie out run on a pulley (approx. 30ft long) available for your use that will allow your pup to get some exercise while remaining safe and secure. -Please clean up after your pup and members of their possy:) There is a pooper scooper and trashcan available for your use. -Please do NOT allow your pup (or yourself) to climb on the woodpile beyond the orange fencing behind the agility course. It is NOT safe for climbing as large heavy logs could shift and cause serious injury. There are plenty of sticks for fetch and chewing along the woods line on the other 2 sides, help yourself :) -"uh oh, where's my...." Forget something? We do not supply large quantities of these items but we have put together a box of some things that may get you out of a pinch and keep you from having to cut your visit short. We only ask that you be mindful and try to save some for the next person having an off day. So what's in the box?! Spare leash and collar- if you can leave it when you're done that's great but if it will ensure you and your pup get home safely please take it with you!, a jug of water- try to bring your own as there is no accessible water source but if you forget, give your pup a drink as needed! Please use the bowl provided(it's way easier to clean) and don't let them lick the bottle, hit the bowl with the Lysol spray and leave out of the box when you're done, hand sanitizer, bug spray, poison Ivy cream, paper towels, rubber gloves and poop bags (don't be shy with those use as many as you need ;) ) there will be some toys here and there as well, if you use them please leave them out of the box on the table top so we can sanitize later. Let us know if you happen to use the last of something so we can restock or have suggestions of things we can add! -speaking of that Lysol...anything that goes in your pup's mouth or touches their poop please give it a quick spray when you're done. We take our crews health seriously and will be sanitizing at the end of the day, but this helps by not having totally raw germs running free all day until we get there.

Hi, my name is Mike I am a lifelong dog lover with 4 of my own that I train and work in both personal and potentially sport level protection. I have owned dogs my whole life, worked in basic obedience/pet training since I was 17, and began protection training about 3 years ago. We live in a rural area and are blessed with more than enough room for our large breeds to enjoy and make their own. They have graciously offered to share some of their stomping grounds to help recoup their ever growing food bill :)

Fall 2024 Updates: With the rainy weather mushrooms may be present, we do our best to dispose of them but if you see them don't let your dog eat them as they can cause GI upset or be harmful. It's also acorn drop season and our large oak tree is dropping a lot of them. Acorns are not safe for dogs to eat. If your dog likes to eat stuff our yard might not be the best fit during this season. We want our pup friends to have a safe fall. If you post a photo with your first or next review we'll give you a free visit promo code! (one time only) Hi! I'm Alyssa, a rescue dog owner with a ~1/3 acre yard perfect for your dog to enjoy! We have a mix of gardens, grass, mulch, and leaf areas great for sniffing and playing fetch and a bin full of fun toys and treats. We have a special basket of small dog toys upon request. We provide cold water for humans, bug spray, and hand sanitizer. We spray our yard every 5 weeks with a natural oil mix to help reduce mosquitos, fleas, and ticks. Reactive dog owners should note that our neighbors on both sides have dogs that may or may not be outside during your visit. They are all friendly but will probably bark. (No dogs live in the yard with the chain link but there are visible dogs two yards over) We provide a bucket of extra treats to help with training and distraction. Our girl loves a "sniffari" where you hide treats around the yard to sniff out. ⭐️ Important notes ⭐️ 🐶 All dogs must be FULLY vaccinated (Rabies, Parvo, Bordetella, DHPP) Please do not book unless you are sure your dog has all their shots. Puppies less than 4 months old that are still building up vaccines should stay at home. ⭐️ Dogs MUST be leashed when entering and exiting the yard. Our neighbor across the street has a few outdoor cats we want to keep safe. 🍃 Please do not let your dog eat or chew any of the plants in the yard. No excessive digging. 🌻 Please do not enter the gated garden area on the other side of the house. We keep our quail coop and turtle enclosure in this area and don't want them startled. Feel free to look in from the gate though. 🍺 Per Sniffspot's rules, no alcohol is allowed, and please no smoking.
