55Amazing location! Pretty dry right now considering the recent heat, and my dog had a blast running amuck. Also used the self wash option and it was super convenient. Definitely would recommend and will definitely be returning.
45Very easy to get to and lots of space to roam. Very tall grass- over 3 ft. It was not a place to play fetch. If you have a runner it might be hard to find them if they don’t come back on command.
55This land was so nice to visit and Chloe was communicative and friendly! My golden retrievers enjoyed playing fetch in the tall grass. Directions were clear and only a 30 minute drive from Portland. Will visit again! ㅤᵕ̈ thank you again!
55Great spot! We had a blast! The grass is very tall & overgrown (nearly 3 ft tall) which provides great enrichment for adventurous pups who love to frolic. There are some areas that are a bit shorter, maybe 1 ft tall. The whole place is fenced but I kept my pup on a long line in case of wildlife sightings :)
45Great space to explore
55Great spot! Our dog loved running around through all the tall plants.
25This spot is so overgrown at this time of year it made it near impossible for the dogs to run around. They’d get lost in the tall grass and not really want to venture out.. I have large active dogs and they tend to be confident about these types of things. It was a disappointment given how large the area is! Couldn’t play fetch because the balls would get lost in the shrub. The boarded up structure really added to the run down vibe. There was no water and no effort to make this abandoned field feel more welcoming. The dogs did make friends with the hog on the other side of the fence though haha.
55This sniffspot is incredible. There is so much space for our reactive old dog to just run and play. We found a small mud puddle, so the dog wash was perfect! We will definitely be back
55Place way great, host met me at the main gate to their property. She was very friendly told me where to park, she communicated great via text and in person. This was thors first time going to a sniff spot, he barked in the car while I was talking to the host, she didn’t care one bit. He had an absolute blast. Playing hind In seek in the tall glass. They had a poop can in front of the gate where we parked. We will definitely be back when it’s raining. 10/10
55We had so much fun here! Huge space with lots of very tall grass to leap through! Was dry for the most part but there are some very deep muddy spots. Definitely wear pants and boots and bring lots of water… also maybe pop a Claritin as there are nice wild flowers out right now. We will definitely be back!

Description

We have about 15 unused private fenced natural wet land that is great to let your dogs run free. The back part is wet land. During spring. Lots of wildlife. During the rain it gets pretty wet out there and swampy. But their is areas of dry spots to the left. Their is small creeks running through the field along with a barn for shelter to stand under. During the summer the land is dry. Great for training tracking dogs, or just letting your pups run free in a wide open space. Watch out for wildlife carcasses. Make sure your dogs don’t eat anything out there. Follow driveway to the far back gate. You are more than welcome to park in the field as well! This spot is not able to be mowed or maintained per the county because it is a natural protected land. The grass is tall, the dogs love it. If you want adventure and a nature feel this is the spot. (The PIGS mentioned in previous reviews are no longer here) and once again, it is tall grass that cannot be mowed. But they still loveeee to run and run and run through it. We also have a self dog wash in our garage that is used during the week as a professional grooming salon. $10 extra each pet, for self wash, shampoo and dryer included. your dogs will be muddy during the rainy season! The Grass is growing tall now during spring. But the dogs love it! Bring your boots and plan on getting muddy!

Cleanliness

93% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Uneven ground. Their may be bones in the field from wildlife. Watch your dogs if they try and eat anything. This is a natural wetland that cannot be mowed or maintained per county.

Host replied: The boarded up structure was weather protection for our hogs. (They are gone now) unfortunately because the back field is a natural wet land the county will not allow us to mow or maintain it. I am sorry your pups did not have a good time. We would mow it if we could!

11/29/23: NEW!!! NOW OFFERING COMPLIMENTARY CLEAN RAG AND HAMPER FOR EACH DOG. ONLY ONE PER DOG PLEASE. WE'LL WASH THEM AND REPLACE THEM INTO THE 'CLEAN' RAG BOX AFTER LAUNDERING. Proud to be chosen as Sniffspot's global business model again in the February 27, 2024 online Newsweek magazine, the June 5, 2023 of Womens World magazine. Also featured in Business Insider on June 9, 2022. NOW YOU'RE WELCOME TO DRIVE ONE RIG INTO THE FIELD, MUD FREE (stopping at end of asphalt), then closing the big farm gate behind you so that you can release your 10# and over pup(s) without leashes. or worry of them getting into the road! VERY IMPORTANT: EACH PARK (F1 AND F2) HAS A SEPARATE ENTRANCE AND DRIVEWAY WITH THE SAME ADDRESS. SO, YOU MUST READ THE SPECIFIC DRIVING DIRECTIONS INTO EACH PARK. PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS TOO IF THEY'RE MEETING YOU HERE. THANK YOU!! Upon entering, you won’t be able to see the people or dogs in field one (F1) while you are in F2. Maybe just a glimpse of them when they are arriving or leaving their cars from a distance. We have buildings and trees that separate the two. We offer poop bags all around the field, and a garbage can for your use (used poop bags only please). If you happen to see a pile someone missed, please help us out, but PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR PETS AND PICK UP AFTER THEM, TOYS TOO!!!. Thank you so much for your cooperation! We also provide a large fence attached bowl and water hose, balls/chukits and fun toys, comfy swing, and plenty of tables/benches. ALSO, if you'd like to have an event on our farm anywhere, we can discuss your wants and make something work for you. We also host overnight stays in two cottages we have on the property. BUT, you CANNOT bring your pets here to stay the night. We want to keep the cottages pristine and dander free for our Airbnb glamping guests that book here. Thanks for reading! Hope to see you here soon! We know you will love our magical farm!
