On occasion there are two dogs. One that live approximately 8 acres away and another 11 acres away that you will hear on occasion. They are confined to their own property and you will never see them. Also on occasion you may hear a distance farm neighbor doing something that makes a noise. Although combined, this might be audible 5% of the time or perhaps less. You will be located on 35 acres so these noises will always be coming from quite a distance away. Finally, probably less that 2% of the time you might hear a cow or goats in the distance. We have no animals of our own of any type on the property.

Description

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. A porta potty for your convenience. Multiple poop depots throughout the park with bag dispensers. Two water play areas one is shallow to help pups to acclimate comfortably to water play. The other is the larger man-made pond area. The larger pond area has a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. A large selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval are nearby. A Muddy Paw Spa to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. For those concerned about blue green algae, a bulletin board showing a test kit that can be purchased through Amazon. Test takes 15 minutes, with 99% accuracy. Next to it is an area to post the initials of the tester, date, time, and results of the test for other guests to see. Any guest doing this will be given an extra 15 minutes to the end of their reservation time on us. Please let us know in advance if you decide to do the test. For reasons to detailed to get into now, there’s never been an issue with blue green algae at Tail Waggers. A comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

Additional rules

The number one rule and the one that we ask you to be Very Diligent about is picking up your pups poop. We have gone to great lengths to provide multiple Poop Depots with bag dispensers. Please feel free to take ONE as needed. You will not have to carry the bag for very long as we have them at numerous locations for your convenience. If you use the Titanic Jon boat or either of the two kayaks, use the long pond water brush to clean the mud off and put them back on the racks provided when your done. The paddle boat can stay in the water, but again, please clean the mud off with the sponge provided for the benefit of the next person to use it. The other end of the pond belongs to my neighbor, Do Not land on his shore, if so you are trespassing. We provide a broad assortment of toys, if your going to use them, do so with the understanding that your responsible to locate them and return them back to the toy station for the guest that comes after you. We provide specialized disks for the Frisbee Disk GoIf game. They are specially weighted and can get a little spendy. Please use a regular Frisbee to avoid you pup from chewing these specialty disks up. If you have a concern with something in the park please address it in the private chat, this will give us an opportunity to review and correct that issue. We suggest that due to the constant rain during our monsoon season that appropriate foot wear be worn, it can get muddy in areas. Well that's it. The last rule is...go have a blast, there is so much to do. We work hard to provide you with the best experience possible at Tail Waggers. We really appreciate your help on this, Thank you. Ray and Janet.

Originally from the MA & RI area. We moved here to Oregon City 12 years ago. Retired General Contractor. Purchased this diamond in the rough property. Transformed it into what you see now. To beautiful not to share, but who with? Who would appreciate what we have created? We found the perfect solution, Sniff Spot guests and their pups, one hour at a time. So welcome to Tail Waggers. We hope you will enjoy this Disney Land for pups. Ray & Janet

A peaceful, private space where dogs can run, sniff, and explore freely. Spring is one of our favorite seasons—the creek is flowing, the pasture is green, and many guests return again and again to experience it. We are a rural, outdoor property designed for dogs who need room to run, sniff, and decompress. Please note it is partially fenced and bordered by foliage and Abernathy Creek. Other Animals & Activity: • No other dogs are present on the property. • Two cats may be visible; please supervise dogs that chase cats. • The property is mostly quiet; occasional outdoor activity from the homeowner may occur. • Occasional machinery or vehicle noise may be heard from surrounding areas. Terrain: This is a natural field environment. Terrain may include: • Uneven ground • Natural holes or divots • Sloped areas • Tall grass and seasonal vegetation • Mud depending on weather • Rocks, roots, and other natural features • Wildlife and insects Guests should wear appropriate footwear and supervise dogs at all times. Farm Equipment: Farm equipment may be present on the property. Please stay off all equipment. Booking & Access: Access is limited to your booked time only. No early arrivals or extended stays. Creek Access: Abernathy Creek runs along part of the property and may be accessible to dogs throughout the pasture. Please note: • Creek banks may be steep or uneven • Owner access to the creek may be limited in certain areas • Water depth and flow vary depending on season and rainfall Creek access is generally easier for dogs; human access may be difficult. If your dog is likely to enter the water, they should have reliable recall and be comfortable navigating natural terrain. Owners must supervise their dogs near the creek at all times. Health & Safety Reminder: Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations. By booking, guests acknowledge that this is a working rural property with natural outdoor conditions and accept responsibility for their dogs and themselves.

KJ's 0.5 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Gresham

Partially Fenced
0.5 acres

Hi yall, We hope you’ll enjoy our back yard as much as our dogs do. My wife and I run and manage our spot. Our area here is in a small neighborhood with little to no traffic. You can access the entrance through the left side of the house. Just push the gate and it should open easily. As for parking there is a guest area right in front of the house but the drive way can be used to park if there is no parking available. There will be a smaller little fence that can be closed but you can leave it open as well. We will provide some toys and of course balls so you can play with your dogs free of charge. We additionally have snacks and water if needed. There are poop bags as well. You can find these items on the deck and please feel free to sit down and enjoy a nice seat. Our back yard will have trees with plenty of shade and a large area for the dogs to run around. Some areas of the yard are muddy but it is mostly grassy. If you head down to the property you will find a stream with a sandy beach and an old bench. The stream is only accessible through our property but not fully fenced off due to the running water. But it is a secluded area where your dogs will not be able to run off.

Fully Fenced Yard & Driveway Parking

Fully Fenced
0.17 acres

XL backyard with lots of room to romp and some things to climb on (logs, stumps). Yard is entirely fenced, but access gate is hog fence and may allow for very small dogs to slip through. Also some stacked firewood along a 4.5ft fence means some dogs could climb the firewood and jump out. Yard backs to an elementary school and park, so at times there is recess near the back fence (busy), or just generally people at the park. Please do not use the dog kennel/enclosure area.

1/4 Acre Fully Fenced Yard in SE Portland

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of street parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Please use what you see available - dog bags next to the gate, toys on the dog hammock or inside the chest, towels, hose, treats on the glass table and water station for pups, garbage bin by the gate.

Furry Fellows Field Fully Fenced, Easy Parking, Open Barn & Private Entrance

Fully Fenced
1 acre

Reviews with photo's may be posted onto our Instagram! @furryfellowsniffspot 📸 We're a great option if you want a peaceful and private place to relax at. There is plenty to sniff for the pups and we maintain the field regularly in the spring/summer to keep the grass short. What we offer: ✅ Large fully fenced field. ✅ Dedicated guest parking area for easy parking and multiple cars (can fit 2-3 cars depending on vehicles sizes). ✅ Private entrance straight to the sniffspot. ✅ Open barn for shade and shelter from rain and wind. ✅ Picnic tables that can seat 12 with 3 extra chairs. ✅ Waste bags, large 💩 scooper and multiple trash stations for easy clean up and disposal. ✅ 5 gallon distilled bottled water jug for dogs and water bottles for humans.(Water is not available during freezing conditions). ✅ Regularly maintained field in spring/summer ✅ Frisbee golf basket and discs, picnic blanket, kids playhouse and other outdoor games available in the summer 🌞 ✅ Quick 💩 pickups! we appreciate when guests let us know if they see any poo piles so we can take care of them as quickly as possible :) 🐾 On RARE occasions our neighbor’s new puppy has wandered near the Sniffspot. The area is fully fenced and secure so he cannot enter on his own. He is young, extremely friendly, and very docile; some guests have even chosen to let him in to play with their dogs. Again his visits are very uncommon (only 3 guest interactions out of 1,300+ visits), and if it does occur during your visit his collar includes our neighbor’s contact information so they can be reached directly. If you have questions or concerns feel free to send us a message :) Frequently asked questions Q: What are the berries the tree's drop in the sniffspot? A: Hawthorn berries! Q: Do you have toys at your location? A: Unfortunately we do not offer toys at our sniffspot due to frequent replacement being costly, this choice helps us to keep our price low. Occasionally we will have them available thanks to donations from guests in our small dog community to share with others but it is not guaranteed. *EDITS* 5/28/2024* By request we've made some improvements on making this spot more small dog friendly by filling in noticeable gaps under our fences and gates! 6/4/2024* We've ordered supplies to update sagging area's in fencing and added water bowls. 9/16/2024* Gate lock has been fixed. 6/30/2025 2 more doggy waste stations have been ordered to add to the park. 7/20/2025 Doggy waste stations have been installed and active wasps nest have also been taken care of. A water jug station will also be added to have more water jugs available for guests to replace with fresh ones once emptied. 10/15/2025 Mulch has been ordered, we plan on slowly topping up mulched area's as needed throughout the fall and winter months. 4/6/2025 Picnic tables have been ordered to acco large groups, we plan to have them setup by 4/17. We've also added the birthday pawty extra for larger get togethers with dogs.
