On occasion there are two dogs. One that live approximately 8 acres away and another 11 acres away that you will hear on occasion. They are confined to their own property and you will never see them. Also on occasion you may hear a distance farm neighbor doing something that makes a noise. Although combined, this might be audible 5% of the time or perhaps less. You will be located on 35 acres so these noises will always be coming from quite a distance away. Finally, probably less that 2% of the time you might hear a cow or goats in the distance. We have no animals of our own of any type on the property.

Description

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. A porta potty for your convenience. Multiple poop depots throughout the park with bag dispensers. Two water play areas one is shallow to help pups to acclimate comfortably to water play. The other is the larger man-made pond area. The larger pond area has a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. A large selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval are nearby. A Muddy Paw Spa to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. For those concerned about blue green algae, a bulletin board showing a test kit that can be purchased through Amazon. Test takes 15 minutes, with 99% accuracy. Next to it is an area to post the initials of the tester, date, time, and results of the test for other guests to see. Any guest doing this will be given an extra 15 minutes to the end of their reservation time on us. Please let us know in advance if you decide to do the test. For reasons to detailed to get into now, there’s never been an issue with blue green algae at Tail Waggers. A comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

Additional rules

The number one rule and the one that we ask you to be Very Diligent about is picking up your pups poop. We have gone to great lengths to provide multiple Poop Depots with bag dispensers. Please feel free to take ONE as needed. You will not have to carry the bag for very long as we have them at numerous locations for your convenience. If you use the Titanic Jon boat or either of the two kayaks, use the long pond water brush to clean the mud off and put them back on the racks provided when your done. The paddle boat can stay in the water, but again, please clean the mud off with the sponge provided for the benefit of the next person to use it. The other end of the pond belongs to my neighbor, Do Not land on his shore, if so you are trespassing. We provide a broad assortment of toys, if your going to use them, do so with the understanding that your responsible to locate them and return them back to the toy station for the guest that comes after you. We provide specialized disks for the Frisbee Disk GoIf game. They are specially weighted and can get a little spendy. Please use a regular Frisbee to avoid you pup from chewing these specialty disks up. If you have a concern with something in the park please address it in the private chat, this will give us an opportunity to review and correct that issue. We suggest that due to the constant rain during our monsoon season that appropriate foot wear be worn, it can get muddy in areas. Well that's it. The last rule is...go have a blast, there is so much to do. We work hard to provide you with the best experience possible at Tail Waggers. We really appreciate your help on this, Thank you. Ray and Janet.

Originally from the MA & RI area. We moved here to Oregon City 12 years ago. Retired General Contractor. Purchased this diamond in the rough property. Transformed it into what you see now. To beautiful not to share, but who with? Who would appreciate what we have created? We found the perfect solution, Sniff Spot guests and their pups, one hour at a time. So welcome to Tail Waggers. We hope you will enjoy this Disney Land for pups. Ray & Janet

Bacon & Eggs 30 Acre Farm & Private Forest Trail - Oregon City

Partially Fenced
10 acres

We offer a dedicated 10 acre sloped pasture for walking, running, ball play, etc. also a trail hike through the woods up to a mile. (Be aware of uneven ground and blackberries; some thorns in mulch). The 30-acre property is fenced and isolated private space. The gate to the road is open for access but a good distance from the fields (so not closed while visiting.). The farm is a working farm so you may see workers and equipment away from the dedicated dog areas. Yes, part of our property has neighbors along the trail but fencing is in place and neighbors are seldom around. Water for dogs, trash can for baggies, picnic table and dog toys are provided. There are livestock fenced off from the trail, and some electric & electric mesh fences are in use.

Private Dog Park on 1+ Acres near Mt. Scott Creek: Just 5 minutes from Clackamas Town Center, our one-acre enclosed field offers open space, rolling hills, and the serene Mt. Scott Creek meanders through the property. The creek flows year-round—its levels dip in summer—and there are several spots where pups can wade and cool off on warm days. Please note: the creek is not fenced at both ends. Our field is pesticide-free and treated with organic diatomaceous earth in early spring and late fall to sanitize and keep it free of pests. The creekside can be muddy during winter, but most of the property—especially the upper fields—remains dry year-round. Sniffin’ Hours: Monday to Sunday Spring & Summer: 8 AM – 9:00 PM Autumn & Winter: 8 AM – 7 PM During your visit, our two 5-year-old Doberman-Mastiff mixes will remain indoors so you and your pup can explore freely. Proud to be chosen as Sniffspot's global business model again in the February 27, 2024 online Newsweek magazine, the June 5, 2023 of Womens World magazine. Also featured in Business Insider on June 9, 2022. YOU'RE WELCOME TO DRIVE UP TO 3 RIGS INTO THE PARK, MUD FREE (stopping at end of asphalt), then closing the big farm gate behind you so that you can release your 10# and over pup(s) without leashes. or worry of them getting into the road! VERY IMPORTANT: EACH PARK (F1 AND F2) HAS A SEPARATE ENTRANCE AND DRIVEWAY WITH THE SAME ADDRESS. SO, YOU MUST READ THE SPECIFIC DRIVING DIRECTIONS INTO EACH PARK. PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS TOO IF THEY'RE MEETING YOU HERE. THANK YOU!! Upon entering, you won’t be able to see the people or dogs in field one (F1) while you are in F2. Maybe just a glimpse of them when they are arriving or leaving their cars from a distance. We have buildings and trees that separate the two. We offer poop bags all around the field, and a garbage can for your use (used poop bags only please). If you happen to see a pile someone missed, please help us out, but PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR PETS AND PICK UP AFTER THEM, TOYS TOO!!!. Thank you so much for your cooperation! We also provide a large fence attached bowl and water hose, balls/chukits and fun toys, comfy swing, gazebo rain shelter, and plenty of tables/benches. Bring your friends and their dogs and make a party out of it! If you'd like to have an event on our farm anywhere, we can discuss your wants and make something work for you. We also host overnight stays in two cottages we have on the property. BUT, you CANNOT bring your pets here to stay the night. We want to keep the cottages pristine and dander free for our Airbnb glamping guests that book here. Thanks for reading! Hope to see you here soon! We know you will love our magical farm! Reviews with photo's may be posted onto our Instagram! @furryfellowsniffspot 📸 We're a great option if you want a peaceful and private place to relax at. There is plenty to sniff for the pups and we maintain the field regularly in the spring/summer to keep the grass short. What we offer: ✅ Large fully fenced field. ✅ Dedicated guest parking area for easy parking and multiple cars (can fit 2-3 cars depending on vehicles sizes). ✅ Private entrance straight to the sniffspot. ✅ Open barn for shade and shelter from rain and wind. ✅ Picnic tables that can seat 12 with 3 extra chairs. ✅ Waste bags, large 💩 scooper and multiple trash stations for easy clean up and disposal. ✅ 5 gallon distilled bottled water jug for dogs and water bottles for humans.(Water is not available during freezing conditions). ✅ Regularly maintained field in spring/summer ✅ Frisbee golf basket and discs, picnic blanket, kids playhouse and other outdoor games available in the summer 🌞 ✅ Quick 💩 pickups! we appreciate when guests let us know if they see any poo piles so we can take care of them as quickly as possible :) 🐾 On RARE occasions our neighbor’s new puppy has wandered near the Sniffspot. The area is fully fenced and secure so he cannot enter on his own. He is young, extremely friendly, and very docile; some guests have even chosen to let him in to play with their dogs. Again his visits are very uncommon (only 3 guest interactions out of 1,300+ visits), and if it does occur during your visit his collar includes our neighbor’s contact information so they can be reached directly. If you have questions or concerns feel free to send us a message :) Frequently asked questions Q: What are the berries the tree's drop in the sniffspot? A: Hawthorn berries! Q: Do you have toys at your location? A: Unfortunately we do not offer toys at our sniffspot due to frequent replacement being costly, this choice helps us to keep our price low. Occasionally we will have them available thanks to donations from guests in our small dog community to share with others but it is not guaranteed. *EDITS* 5/28/2024* By request we've made some improvements on making this spot more small dog friendly by filling in noticeable gaps under our fences and gates! 6/4/2024* We've ordered supplies to update sagging area's in fencing and added water bowls. 9/16/2024* Gate lock has been fixed. 6/30/2025 2 more doggy waste stations have been ordered to add to the park. 7/20/2025 Doggy waste stations have been installed and active wasps nest have also been taken care of. A water jug station will also be added to have more water jugs available for guests to replace with fresh ones once emptied. 10/15/2025 Mulch has been ordered, we plan on slowly topping up mulched area's as needed throughout the fall and winter months. 4/6/2025 Picnic tables have been ordered to acco large groups, we plan to have them setup by 4/17. We've also added the birthday pawty extra for larger get togethers with dogs.

Coming Soon: a swing-set for the kids, more obstacles, more toys. Dogs are free to dig as much as they want! Our farm is 1/2 mile down a private drive. The Sniffspot is at our property entrance along our driveway. There’s a mini-Aussie that lives in the white house 500 ft away from the Sniffspot.
