Description

We have a total of 9 acres in the city of East Moline (closer to Silvis). Three acres are cleared with grass ready for you and your pup. It is not fenced but surrounded on 3 sides by tall grasses. The yard is more than 500 feet from the road. We have blackberries, peaches, and apples you're welcome to pick while you're here. There is a half acre man made pond if your dog likes to swim. Beware it is filled with fish and turtles, maybe a small snapper or two. We have a hose you can use to clean your dog off if they do happen to go in the pond. We have ducks and geese that will be safely enclosed in their run when you visit. We ask that you keep your dog from barking/scaring them. We have three dogs ourselves that are only allowed in the fenced portion of the yard. We have a pedal boat for the pond. If you want to use it just let us know before you arrive so it can be ready. All dogs and people are welcome at Pondport!

We gave lots of wildlife that frequent the property. They arnt usually around in the day but you could spot anything from deer to coyotes. If your dog doesn't have good recall in those situations this may not be the place for you.

Our backyard is on a fenced in double lot with lots of room to run and play. Heavily wooded and backs up to a ravine. One thing to note: Our gate to the backyard opens up to our steps to the house (you can see this in the photos) and it can be trickier to navigate if you have a mobility aide. My wife and I work from home and either of us would be happy to assist in accessing the yard if needed. We have one camera mounted to the back of the house that does not see past the deck. This is to check on our pup, Maisie, when she roams the yard in between SniffSpots.

There is a picnic table to take a break and watch your pup explore. It is partially fenced on the north side and a hill keeps your pup out of trouble on the south side. There are occasional rabbits, raccoon, and deer but normally leave as soon as there are people present. Come enjoy!
