****currently down due to the tornado of August 24, 2023 at 8:20 PM**** we are working hard to get back up and running -- the tornado destroyed our fencing and many trees. We are working hard to restore the park. I don't have an exact date yet. working with fence contractor on timing and still have some trees to fix. Note... :) and we are planning to groom trails thru the park for winter time romping and sniffing. Easy parking and easy location 1/2 mile north of the Comstock Park High School. 10 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, with a country feel. Lots of room to stretch and run, dig, play catch, etc on this enclosed 2.5 acre park like atmosphere. Several sitting areas so you can visit and relax. Welcome to Pooch’s Paradise! I’m Kaitlyn, a professional dog trainer who owns Kaitlyn’s Dog Training. My dogs are basically my children, and the entire yard has been catered to them and my clients’ dogs. This half-acre yard is fully fenced (6 foot privacy, plus a 4-ft chain link surrounding a garden area), and even has a double-gate system to enter and exit, like you would see at a dog park to add extra safety. There are tons of enrichment activities available. I always have a wide variety of toys, a children’s climbing playset that the dogs love, and in decent weather I also have a ball pit, a kiddie pool, small agility tunnels, and have plans to add additional agility equipment at some point in the future. Additionally, we now have a 10 foot x 10 foot canopy over the seating area to provide additional shade. There is also a green tent, in which guests can always find dry towels for wiping down dogs, as well as dry cushions for the chairs and even a Mudbuster tool for cleaning off paws. We do everything we can to provide the absolute best experience for you and your dog, and we think you’ll love it! The only dogs I have ever allowed on the property are vaccinated, healthy, and up-to-date on flea & tick prevention. All the pups who visit my home find that the yard is quite literally their own personal playground, and I know your dogs will love it too!
