55Spot was as described. Happy with our visit and my dog Zelda got a chance to get really muddy and smelly playing in the water which she loved! Fencing was adequate for our needs.
55Beautiful space! Our dogs loved jumping off the dock into the lake and then running all around the yard. We would definitely visit again. The hosts were great communicators and friendly.
45We enjoyed your backyard- it was really nice- the fence was not as secure as we would have liked but other than that I would definitely recommend this spot- thanks Yami
45Great spot! We really enjoyed ourselves :) The only reason it’s 4/5 instead of 5 is because it’s not completely fenced in (because it really can’t be by the lake), so there could be a mishap in escaping if your dog doesn’t have good recall!
45Fun place for my dog to run and play in the water. It’s right on a lake and there was lots of grass/brush, which can be typical. My dog likes to eat grass so I had to pull her out. But we’ll still go back! She had lots of fun!
55Great scenic view! Our pup was able to sniff and run around. Bring bug spray especially at night. Other than that perfect place. Will be coming back :)
45The spot was great, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating! The yard was open and lush but the grass was long and it appears some sniff spot visitors didn’t clean up after their pets.
55Great backyard and very nice people. When needing to ask a question I just went on the app and asked and they came right out to help! Also lovely lake and has shade for very hot days. Happy they provided a hose/water bowl because my dogs were thirsty. Overall great experience
45I recently had the pleasure of visiting a private dog park that I absolutely loved. The park was cozy and had beautiful scenery that made it a perfect spot for my furry friend and me to spend some quality time together. The best part was that there was plenty of space for my dog to run around and play without any worries. The owners were very respectful of our privacy and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. They were also very easy to access, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
55This was such a fun spot for my dog to run around and swim. The owner was super nice as well. I will definitely be going back to swim and kayak next time! Note that this is not the best spot for highly reactive dogs as there are lots of people and dogs at the public beach next door, who are only separated by water. Fortunately mine is pretty social. But if your dog is okay with that, I highly recommend!

Description

Lakeside property. Beautiful spot to hang out with pups, have a picnic and watch sunset. Dogs can swim in the lake. You are welcome to use the hose and move chairs around. Just as a heads-up, our yard is slightly on the wild side. If you are looking for pristine lawn or manicured bushes, we are not that. We have jobs and do not cut grass every other day...On the flip side, pretty much all the dog guests had a fun time exploring the property.

Cleanliness

70% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Open lake access on two sides of the yard. Please watch your dogs if they go in the water or they tend to escape. There might be sharp objects (eg. mussels) on the bottom.

Hi, I am a huge dog person. We have 3 pups in the house. I'm always looking for new, exciting, safe places for dogs and humans to hang out. Hope you enjoy our yard on the Gray's Lake. I am usually working from home. So if you or your dog(s) need anything, just knock on the door or send a text.

Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.
