It was cool to visit this spot! Was very wooded (to a fault), but great for the pups! They ran around and had a blast. But because of the sharp downwards slope at times, the uneven ground & the fairly dense brush, it was really hard to maneuver in there. Only stayed for maybe 15 min (tops) but was eaten by bugs due to how much foliage there was, so I would go there with full sleeves and full pants and/or bug spray. (I got maybe a dozen mosquito bites in those 15 minutes?)
What mattered most was the dogs, and they had fun running around in the secured, fenced in area. So I would recommend it to check it out, especially since it’s so closeby, if you live in Marietta. But I probably won’t go again, since it was really hard to navigate with 2 excited, human-reactive dogs.
BEWARE!! Yard is unkept and extremely overgrown. The stairs leading down from the road are not safe. And there is not available water as advertised. I left after 10 minutes, disappointed. I highly do not recommend.
It was a nice, forest like adventure for our pups. The steps were a little hard to get used to going down but besides that it was good. The hospitality is also amazing, very friendly.
