Description

Welcome to our spot! Please read all of the description of property before booking. We are an open field (not a yard). We decided to open it up to the public for our love of dogs and desire to provide a sniff spot in the area. We are not a typical yard, we are not fenced and I am sure if dogs could rate us, we would be the best as we provide a wide open field (grass, hay, weeds, bumps, holes, etc) to roam and play. I stress this as I do not want anyone to be surprised. The location is easily viewed behind the church at Locust Grove and Amity if you want to check it out before booking. Water days are here from 6/14-6-18!!!! Sprinklers will be on in the field for all to enjoy. Some of my best moments are with my dog, Boone, playing in the sprinklers. He gets silly and super happy running in the sprinklers. I want to open up that experience to everyone. If your dog likes the water, you do not want to miss this experience. We will have it only a few weeks of the summer. 6+ acres of grass pasture to freely roam. Picnic table, ball launchers and beautiful views to enjoy. Easy parking at the church by the two green gates or you can now park under the trees on the property. The Picnic table to use as home base. At times, there are activities at the nearby church that are out of control and may have people, and dogs near the property. The field is large enough that you can avoid close proximity if you play in the middle. The field is a mix of grass, alfalfa and weeds. There is a chance that there will be fox tails, goat heads, cheat grass depending on location and time of year. I try to keep things cut but it’s easy to relocate to the middle of the field where it is flattest and mostly grass and hay. The corners seem to be the worst with weeds and foxtails. If your loved one needs a friend, Boone our family chocolate lab is a very playful and fun companion. Let me know your interest and he can join in on your visit. The field is an active grass hay field. It is not fenced but large enough to roam around and enjoy. Please note that it ia not fenced. I want to be transparent on this topic. It is fenced for large animals (cows) on three sides but not dogs. Play in the middle if that is a concern. In th summer, we will have water days with the sprinklers. The dogs will love it. DM me if you would like to get on the list. My name is Curtis. Reach out directly to 206-272-0667.

Hazards

The field is not flat, it is a working pasture with bumps and uneven spots. There are unexpected holes and uneven spots, play at your own risk. There are also weeds, fox tails, goat heads and thistle depending on the season. Mostly on the corners and edges of the field.

We had so much fun! The space was huge, clean, and had lots of spaces to explore. We’ll be back very soon!

Well, I took my 8 month old puppy out on a long line.’she is good at coming but sometime she forgets where I’m at over the excitement of running. Loved the tall grass clover and? She has never been in tall stuff before and she loved it. It wore her out fast which I liked. There was a dog on the grass area at the church but not for long. Didn’t trigger my dog, she was to busy with the tall grass👍😁

Our pups had a great time and we will definitely come back to this awesome spot! It was raining so we didn’t have any problems with cheat grass/fox tails so that’s a plus! Our pup decided she wanted to go meet the cows nextdoor (sorry cows) so keep an eye on your more adventurous dogs lol

Amazing place! Curtis is very responsive. The pups will definite be back!

Perfect place to let my dogs stretch their legs! Exactly as described. Easy to find and enough space for the dogs to open up!

Not the best spot during the summer Tim due to cheet grass getting stuck in paws. But still a great place to take the pups recommend early morning or later in the day due to heat and dirt being hot on dogs paws.

Beautiful property with plenty of space for your dog to run out all their energy!

Hands down my best Sniffspot experience yet. I texted Curtis to let him know we'd gotten stuck in traffic and he graciously offered to extend our time to make up for it. I'd also taken him up on his offer to have his dog, Boone, come play with my dog. The two had SO much fun chasing and playing fetch. The sprinklers were on which was an added bonus. The view in the field is great, got to see cows grazing and fields of greenery. There was a giant dispenser of water, toys, poo bags, and a trash can at the picnic table. My lab had SO much fun. Definitely can't wait to go back!

Host replied: We are glad you enjoyed the visit. Chauncey is impressive companion and made a great friend for Boone. Thank you for letting our dog Boone join in on the fun.

Can't say enough good things about this Sniff Spot! Water days are so very much appreciated. Luna played in the sprinklers and was dead tired when we left.

Host replied: It was so fun seeing Luna love the water. Our dog, Boone, plays hard on the water days as well. Glad you enjoyed it!

I enjoy caring for this small farm in south Meridian with my chocolate lab, Boone. We have a great time playing fetch and running in the field. It is exciting to open the field to the area and share this field with the area.
