55I came here 2 weeks ago and my dog loved it so we had to come back! My dog doesn’t test boundaries so I’m not worried about fencing and the gate is secure too. My dog has big feelings toward other dogs ands I have no safe place to let my dog off leash to decompress and fulfill his mental and physical needs so it’s really nice to have this here!
55Such an awesome sniff spot! Amazing woods, easy parking and great spot
55I love this property and I will continue to rate it 5 stars because I really love it however we won't be able to return here and I will tell why. I have 3 beagles and if you know anything about the breed you know that they will test the boundary lines for weakness over and over until they find one. Well as they say 3rd times a charm. One of my beagles got out of the fenced in area somehow. I think he may have crawled under the back gate but honestly am not positive. When Jessica says there is lots of wildlife around she isn't joking because my boy tried to hunt himself a porcupine on the neighboring property (please apologize to your neighbor as i am sure they saw me on the trail cam trying to find my howling beast). I only found him because after being stuck in the face by multiple porcupine quills he continued to stand and bark at said porcupine which is how I knew he got loose in the first place. This is a great space honestly it's beautiful and serene and I love it here so much but if you have any kind of hound especially smaller scent hounds I would urge you to think twice before coming here and letting them run loose as it may be a costly visit.
55I love this spot so much! I’ve never visited a Sniffspot before so I was a bit nervous but everything here was great! Once you get here you open the gate and park you’ll see they have poop bags and several other amenities. I’ll definitely come back and it’s definitely worth it!
55Great space to let the pups run in a safe environment. Will definitely be back!
55This Spot is beautiful and scenic with lots of opportunities for pups to play, sniff and explore. Fencing very secure and I was not worried about my dogs getting out.
55Beautiful site! Exactly as described with secure fencing. Our dog loved exploring!
55This place us like heaven on earth. Basically paradise! I took the advice and walked the dogs on the path first since I have beagles and wildlife is their sport. We didn't see any animals while on the property at all but some turkey's were crossing the road on our way there and spotted a deer in the field on the way back. It's nature so bugs were abundant but we came from a campground so I knew what I was walking into. My dogs and I both could have just stayed forever. They had so much fun sniffing the property and I just let them while I enjoyed the deck. I can't wait to come back! If we didn't have a permanent site elsewhere I'd totally book the camper and stay for a while!
55Very nice, large area for my dog to sniff around. Perfect place to go on a summer day since all the trees provide shade. We will be back!
55Wow what an amazing place! We loved this spot and our dog LOVED it too. There was a hammock to relax and chairs and a porch right in the middle of the woods it was so peaceful and our dog had so much fun running back and forth through the woods and sniffing everything. We will definitely be back more this summer, it was so great watching our dog enjoy himself so much!

Description

This unique, natural playground is quite literally my dream. It is built of row Norway pines and backs up to marshy public land. You'll have access to 4 acres, fully fenced. The sniffing is top notch, the doggy parkour and freerunning is unparalleled, the peaceful wilderness is *chef's kiss* The location is RURAL. There is no water available, so please bring your own water and water dish. We do bring in a port-o-potty May - September. We're a quick 30 minutes from WI Dells, down the road from Buckhorn State Park and the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. If you and your dog love this Spot as much as we do, we also offer dog friendly RV accommodations and tent camping at this location. Message me if you'd like to learn more! Run Wild!

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

This is a rural forest area. There is uneven trail, fallen limbs and occasional tree stumps, though we do our best to keep the trails tidy. There are wild animals including black bear, coyotes, fox, porcupines, racoons, opossums and birds of prey. We travel to our property weekly or more to ensure the fence is intact and the property is as safe as we can possibly make it. Hunting is not permitted on our land, however there may be hunters on their own property. Please wear blaze orange if visiting during hunting season. Cell phone service is very limited.

Additional rules

Karmic Poop Pick Up - we have a ton of space to play, so the odds of missing a poo now and then are high, we totally get it. See a poop? Pick it up (with a provided poop bag) and all day long you'll have good luck! The Wisco wildlife are plentiful including black bears, deer, coyotes, foxes, porcupines, racoons, opossums, birds of prey (and those are just the ones that I've seen). While the woodland creatures are less likely to make it into the fenced area, it's not a bad idea to keep your dog on leash for your first lap - we don't want you, your dog or wildlife to have a bad experience. Absolutely no smoking, vaping, tobacco usage.

We love all people all dogs, but we have an extra special spot in our hearts for dog guardians looking for a safe place for their dog with big feelings to explore, sniff and be worry-free. I get what it's like to have an over-reactive dog and hope that our Sniffspots can provide you with a safe place to fulfill your pup's exercise and enrichment needs. Welcome, friends!
