Description

A private acre property with years of love tended to it. One 1/2 acre fully fenced adjacent to home with access to back 1/2 acre that’s all open space. Plenty of space for large and small dogs alike to run, explore, play, train and enjoy the variety of places to Sniff. There is a lot to smell and hunt for (nature and critter scents) Ample space and fence is secure. Our dogs are small so we ensured no gaps or lifting and check regularly. Behind the shrub line by house is the same; securely fenced. The Unfenced Back half part of our property continues all the way to the south tree line. There are apple trees where deer feed, sand hill crane family visits and other wildlife pop up at times, so good sniffing there. At the tree line there is a pathway to a field and the school’s baseball diamonds. That become public property fun for the dogs to explore, especially on long leads, and commonly used. Dogs must be on leash anytime outside of the fenced area. The Oak Creek Parkway trails are also close by for longer walks. There is a table & chairs by the side garage walkway/door with toys, treats for pups and humans, bottled water and more for your use. Dog water bowl cleaner between uses and extra pitcher of water for refill or cleaning. If there is a freeze warning or booking is made while we are away; these would not be accessible. We need to get them out prior to visit. Same with kiddie pool, we need prior notice to set it up. Thank you kindly. Yard is regularly walked and guests have been wonderfully respectful of not leaving pup presents 💩 behind 😊 if there is a lot of rain, there will be standing water on South fence. Cleanup after dogs still required so wear waterproof shoes or happy to reschedule. We do provide a towel and container of fresh water for the pups paws. HOST NOTE

Pool preparation: We prefer to manage it ourselves as opposed to guests using the hose systems so we need to know if adding this extra 12 hours in advance. Our dogs never try to jump fences and fortunately are not diggers. Your dog may be more adventurous, I respectfully ask for honesty. If your dog is a digger, this is unfortunately not a good fit with the gardens, flowers and landscaping.

Typical Sniffspot bookings have 1-2 people per dog. If there’s going to be multiple vehicles, please notify us ahead of time so we know what to expect and can arrange parking. We typically fit up 2-3 guest vehicles on the driveway. There is no street parking on Ryan Road but plenty of parking on Ryan and Howell to carpool if necessary. Happy to host your needs as long as we are aware of what to expect. Unfortunately cannot host dogs that are diggers. We have worked years on the landscaping and gardens to create this serene space. Blessed to be rescued by our two rescue dogs. However, being from desperate and abusive backgrounds, they were never able to be off leash or in public dog parks. We created a safe and happy life for them. But, they were stuck on long leads and never truly free to explore! My husband and I created this “sanctuary” in the back yard that we would now love to share! It just started with one little project, then another and then many more. The fence is in and it happened upon me, that it’s just too good not to share! No more leashes or long leads getting tangled. Time to run, chase, zoom and play! The gardens, nature, wildlife and fulfilling sense of calm is amazing. Enjoy.

Great property to walk with large and small dogs. The entire back lot is fully fenced and plenty of running space for frisbee or ball. Disposable water bowls can be found in our welcome bin. A hose will be available in summer and a water jug in winter. A small patch of uncut brush in the back is great for jumping sniffing and tracking the high branches are cleared for humans to also walk through:) located near wetlands some of the fencing extends through overgrowth or wetland and brush/scrub tree areas it can be damp in wet weather times. The ENTIRE BACK lot is fully secure, originally built to contain our dachshunds and our late Great Dane. Because we own several small dogs (and also a large dog) ourselves it is checked regularly for any holes, or wear. (If you see any holes please let us know ASAP) Our dogs will be kenneled when you visit! Extra notes: *We live near a gun range and during hunting seasons and summer range noise can be heard in the distance. Weekdays are quieter in general for all noises :) after work and weekends tend to have more shooting noise during hunting seasons. * Please note in spring/ fall thaw and heavy rain parts of our yard so stay soggy and even wet for some time -appropriate footwear should be considered (rubber boots are ideal)-we have towels for dogs in our welcome bin. Canine Respiratory Illness! Here’s what we are doing! -disposable one-visit bowls are to be found in our bin, please use them for your dogs and then dispose of them before you go or take them home. -we will continue to disinfect the toys provided at least once a day with our dog-safe disinfectant Effer-San. -We ask that you place used toys in the used toy bin after use. - in the summer the patio and grass near the house will be sprayed with our dog-safe disinfectant Wishy-Wash once a day. -We do this for our dogs as well as for yours
