Our senior pups had a great time at this location. Plenty to sniff & explore, perfect amount of shade around the edges of the space to cool off. Lots of room for a more active dog to play. Some blackberry plants here & there throughout the grass field but wasn’t an issue for us.
Lumbar Lax was great. The only reason I’m giving it 4of5 is that there is some debris around, and some of the ground had sticker vines. The debris wasn’t an issue for my dog as she doesn’t care much about random things, but just in case others’ dogs so I thought it should be noted. The livestock they have on the property (fenced in) was fun for my dog to check out. Thank you!
This was a sweet place with amazing privacy. For pet parents, this property is just off the road. My dog was too curious and went on the road. So it’s a good place for dogs with better recall than mine. But really nice people.
Happy to leave a review! Pros: - Spacious - Dogs all had a blast running and exploring! - Feels very private. - Host was prompt to responding to messages/questions from me. Cons: - No clear parking indicators/sniff spot sign. Had to confirm with host that I was in the right spot (host was extremely prompt with getting back to me). - Near a road without a fence. Not a single car passed when there though not ideal for dogs without solid recall skills - No clear place to leave dog poop. I packed mine out. - Livestock present (not a problem for my dogs but others may struggle). - Muddy (though thats just the PNW in the autumn).
Great open area for our two dogs to run around and get TIRED! They brought out a fresh bowl of water when we arrived and even gave us a bag of treats for the goats. Was excited that we could buy a dozen eggs from the chickens they have. Great spot and definitely coming back again!
Host replied: Thank you for visiting we are happy you enjoyed your time here! Our goats always love the company. Come back soon
This spot was perfect for my pup who had so much room to run and loved the lacrosse balls everywhere! We'll definitely be back.
Host replied: Lacrosse is our life and the dogs leave them everywhere! Always a hunt. There will always be fresh water and goat treats if you want to visit the animals while your here. Thanks for visiting
Pups loved the space and all the balls!! We loved the goats and the opportunity to give them treats!
Host replied: There are always loads of lacrosse balls due to kids and dogs. We are glad you loved it and our goats love their treats. Remember next time we do have fresh farm eggs for sale to add on to your visit
Great spot!
Host replied: Thanks for visiting and a great review. Hope you come back to see us again soon
It is a nice big field. Unfortunately, there were loose chickens (adorable and quite friendly!) and I wasn't willing to risk my dogs chasing chickens (or something even worse...) so we left after 15 minutes. The other domestic animals (goats and ducks) are inside a fence but right there. Just wasn't a good fit for me and my dogs.
Host replied: I’m sorry about the chickens, I certainly could have put them in the chicken run for the time you were here but I was very side tracked with a party for my daughter’s 13th birthday. Maybe you will visit again and we can be sure they are contained Cynthia
Great new spot! Room for running and lots of smells for my dogs, they were both tired by the end. It's a quiet area, only had one car go by in an hour. My dogs got to meet goats for the first time too!
Host replied: Thank you for visiting, I’m glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to have you over again soon. I will have goat treats on hand since they love the company.
