Description

Located minutes from downtown Punta Gorda, gorgeous 2 acres, owner residence on site. Large shady oaks, big dig pit, private pasture and well-cut grass to run and play. Water and toys-FULLY FENCED! 1 couple or 1 owner, 1-3 dogs only. Smaller dogs welcome, just be aware of little gaps, use leash as needed. No small kids or families at our spot for safety reasons. (Beware of red ant piles-we treat often but rains stir them up, dogs usually stay clear-Keep feet moving) Please honor your timeframe with 15 min buffer before & after bookings. Play dates of 5 dogs must be approved in advanced with owners in attendance. Must book under one primary guest only. Please review all notes in my spot profile. Our spot is designed to work with nature, weather and our hobby farm lifestyle. Occassionally we will use the large burn pit and grass will be mowed-rainy days will come and grass may grow tall before next mow. Rain boots and umbrellas recommended to bring or wear during your time if weather stays wet. You will be notified if it's flooded or very muddy. Use app for messages as needed.

First Time using Sniffspot? Happy to answer via App Message. Our property is left as natural as possible, simple, fenced and mowed. Ants are treated weekly-keep your feet moving. Large used bonfire area safe for play. We are typically hands off and work from home. Please keep voices low when parking and leaving our residence. Please be able to voice control your dog(s) at all times. *Note: Dogs on the smaller side may need to stay leashed until you've you've explored the property for fencing gaps...voice control is highly recommend and keep an eye on your dogs at all times for best experience. We want our spot to be as safe and enjoyable as possible yet hands off and private. Please make sure this is the right place for you and leave a private note if you have concerns. *30 min timeframes have been added to help with busy season, we reserve the right to cancel this booking feature if needed. Host reserves the right cancel reservation if emergency or concerns about guest communications prior or post visit As this is our residence and must be comfortable with the process. Please empty water bowl after use and pop toys back into baskets.

Please message me if you are bringing another adult/non owned dogs to my spot. You will be considered the primary responsible guest. Since booking playdates on one account does discount the hour of play, only 3 dogs are allowed under one booking time slot unless discussed with host privately. VERY IMPORTANT FOR SAFETY AND GOALS OF SNIFFSPOTS! Please keep space clean, pick up poo and place all toys back in basket under trees. Dump and hang water bowl before you leave. Secure chain on gate during and after your visit. Thank you! *My spot is unmarked at the main entrance of our driveway. Go straight to barn and park. The Only Entry/Exit gate has a small Sniffspot sign. Please leave all other gates locked. Inside paddock gate is left open to main back acres. *Please arrive and depart at the same time. If you see another guest arriving, please do your best to depart the spot without incident. *If you arrive while a guest is leaving, please REMAIN in your car with your dogs. 10 mins is allotted for loading and unloading. *All guests are reminded to arrive and depart on time. Please do not arrive any earlier that 10 minutes for best experience. *Our 30 minute buffer is designed for safety. Thank you.

New? Please read details thoroughly :) We are a local family and love animals! The Painted Porch -Pooch Park- is just minutes from downtown Punta Gorda. We live on 5 acres with a barn and chicken coop. We raised and said goodbye to our 4 kids, a horse and 2 goats and now want to share our gorgeous land with your sweet pooches. We have 2 dogs, one of which had a very hard time at dog parks and leashes, this property was the answer and he's so happy! We understand the amazing benefits of a Private place to run your dogs, you can relax heritage oaks, sky-high slash pines while you play with your dog(s) in a safe natural space. You may see eagles, hawks, rabbits, squirrels and many bird species. Fun Fully Fenced 1.5 acres. My hubby Chris and I are Army Veterans, grandparents to 3 boys, love Pickleball, travel, art, beaches and mountain visits. (Dogs smaller than 15lbs are welcome, just walk the perimeter with leash to get familiar with the large layout and fencing type. FL red ants are like mosquitos, we treat as quickly as we can, rain will draw them out so please keep feet moving, dogs don't seem bothered) recent hurricanes have caused major damage to the interior of our home, you may see contractors in and out near garages not near your entry/exit gate. The green grass is coming back. Closed toe shoes recommended. Water hose and bowl (plz dump and flip over after use) for dogs inside paddock gate near barn.
