Lovely property! Very clean and spacious. Would definitely attend again. Beautiful horses too!
Host replied: Thank you Melanie! Glad you and your pup enjoyed yourselves!
Great sniff spot! Clean, open, big enough, isolated. Good for reactive dogs. Caution for small dogs as the fence has some opens - read host’s notes.
Host replied: Hey Glaucia, Thanks for taking the time to send in a review. I am glad you enjoyed yourselves! I saw your pups from my window-I love Frenchies-what cuties! After your review and just to make sure, I did walk the fence and there are no openings. I don't want to give anyone reading a review the wrong impression :0) It is a graduated wire fence meaning the fence is smaller at the bottom and gets wider towards the top but no holes :0) It is a new fence so everything is very tight. I do take my own 6 and 8lb dogs in there however if you had a little dog say under 15lbs that really wanted to escape they might be able to wiggle through a lower opening if they worked at it. But my little guys are always supervised like the sniffspot visiting dogs so I have not had any issues. (and please if I did miss something and you saw an opening in the fence I would really appreciate you letting me know--it's a big space and two sets of eyes are better than one! thanks again! Keep in mind I also have shorter 30minute visits available for when the warmer weather gets here and the little guys can get overheated. And it's mosquito weather so help yourself to the insect repellent by the entrance. :0)
Great location for our first Sniffspot. Access instructions were super clear. Saskia was very considerate and responsive on chat and checking in with us.
Host replied: Hey Kay, Glad you guys had enjoyed yourselves. You had the best weather for a good outing; such a beautiful day. :0)
Lovely open space in a fenced area nearby very calm horses. We enjoyed our time!
A great place to visit with your dogs! Large well maintained and secure space in a beautiful farm setting. Grass to run on, sand pit to dig in, some obstacles and toys, a sitting area and poop bags and fresh water and bowl provided. I got to meet the owner and she was lovely, she was also fantastic with my dogs, taking the time to make friends with my super nervous panic barker foster and make sure it was a positive experience. I will be back! It would be a great option for a stop over on the way up to cottage country because it's right off the main drag.
Host replied: Hi Melle, I appreciate your thoughtful review. Your dogs were real cutie pies. Your israel street dogs really hit the jack pot when you adopted them :0)
Great place for our hyper pup!! Sand pit, toys, agility training poles. Beautiful and peaceful place.
Host replied: Thanks for taking the time to review Fiona! and Happy Birthday to Paddy! Hope to see you guys again!
My pup loved it here. There’s a digging area and an obstacle course which was really cool. Would definitely book again.
Host replied: Hey Krystal, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am thrilled that you and your pup enjoyed your visit.
Lovely, quiet, secluded, fully-fenced field that is perfect for our reactive pup to run around without worry or distraction. The host provided clear instructions to find the place, and even had some toys, obstacles and a sand pit set up for our dog to enjoy. Looking forward to returning!
Host replied: Hi Danielle, Thank you for your kind review. I do love to hear that pups enjoy themselves! I also have 30 minute visits available at 25% off!
The fencing is good for medium and large dogs. Yard is clean. This was our first sniffspot location to visit. The experience was underwhelming. $32CDN for just a field with nowhere to sit and no toys or obstacles for the dogs is overpriced.
Host replied: Hi Jo, thank you so much for your kind feedback. I have posted previously and on the description of the park that as soon as the park dried from the spring thaw that seating and obstacles would be added. I did have the large balls in the park but some pups are not into playing with those. Unfortunately you arrived 15 minutes early --I think you saw my white truck come in behind you--it actually had the brand new bench, logs and playbox in there. I was hoping to at least get the bench quickly dropped into the park before you arrived. Timing is everything lol! It's all in there now :0) You have my complete agreement in how expensive everything has gotten. Yes things are certainly expensive now. Just the bench I purchased for the dog paddock was over $100 and I know that the creators of this Sniffspot have invested a ton of money into the app, insurance, administration etc. I don't think I will get rich doing this but I do love being able to provide a safe fun place for people and their dogs. Just as an fyi hosts such as myself do not get he fee that you pay-I don't get $32. SNiffspot takes >20% off an then paypal takes fees etc and by the time the host gets paid it's usually a little less than $10. That has to pay for the seating and obstacles. It really is a labour of love. Sometimes when you see the breakdown it helps to explain why things are the way they are ;)0 Sorry you were disappointed. I hope you don't give up on Sniffspot-maybe there is another location more to your liking. Please check out their other locations in this area or you are always welcome to come back and enjoy the improvements. I will be adding more obstacles this spring season. Any questions please do not hesitate to reach out! 13 April 2023
This was a great first Sniffspot experience at a quiet, rural setting. The park is clean and safe. My dog was able to run and play ball freely and she enjoyed digging in the digging area. We will definitely be going back.
Host replied: Thanks Sally! I am glad you enjoyed your visit. Coming this month are a bench to sit on and relax and more toys and obstacles!
