55As always, we had a fantastic time! We went right after a huge storm, so water levels were a little higher and it was much cooler. Would recommend shoes that are able to get wet because there’s a lot of walking through water to get to fun spots. We stayed around hours and had a blast. We just booked a membership and will be back!
55This visit was fantastic! I spent 2 hours there and there was still more to explore. I’m planning on coming back for multiple more visits in the future- my dogs had a blast. The only concern I had was that when we pulled into the driveway, the host’s dogs were in the driveway and agitated my dogs (who are not friendly with stranger dogs) while in the car. However she was quick to pull them inside and her dogs were inside for the duration of our visit. I’ll just plan on texting the host prior to my next visit to make sure they’re inside before pulling into the driveway!
55Our dogs had the best time! The place is amazing. Perfect place for people/dogs that love to go hiking or are beginners. Totally recommend this spot. We certainly need to go back once there is more water in the river. Also, Misty is a great host!
55Our labs loved this hike! They got to explore to their hearts content and were super happy (and tired) pups. Getting ready to schedule our next visit!
55Misty was incredible. I can’t express how gorgeous her spot was. Misty made us feel very comfortable and even drove us to make sure my pups wouldn’t be too hot.
55Wow, if you’re on the fence about whether to visit this Spot, book now. Misty is a wonderful host and her property is amazing. It is a slice of heaven where you least expect to find it! Our 2 pups had a fantastic time running the trails on her property and swimming in the river (and the pond too). We swam with them too - so refreshing on a blazing hot Texas day. The pups are completely worn out which is pretty hard to accomplish with 2 teenage German Shepherd brothers. I wish we lived closer so we could be regular visitors!
55First time booking, and just WOW! What a beautiful piece of property - Misty was not only extremely accommodating and friendly but all her and her familes hard work shows. It was private, safe, clean and a great adventure for us and our pups! If your dog loves water there are multiple spots for them to sit, swim and relax... we will definitely return to explore more and recommend anyone to book!
55Absolutely Beautiful! It was a perfect day. Misty is an angel and showed us around and made our day. My boyfriend and I and our two dogs had a nice little swim. The water was perfect. We will definitely be back. An hour wasn’t long enough!
55This was our first spot and Misty really set the bar high! The property is absolutely amazing and well maintained. The river is the perfect temperature and our water happy dog had a blast swimming around. We will definitely be back!
55Thanks Misty for sharing your paradise with us again. We followed the mowed paths with our shepherd through the woods, crossed the creek a few times and dipped our feet in the river. The rocky, forested terrain is like going back to cave dwelling times. Walk the paths in an hour or bring bathing attire and stay for a few. Your dogs will love this stress-melting beauty but you will enjoy it just as much..

Description

Photos will be updated 9/15/2023. Our property consists of hand-mown trails that run from our home on Old Prairie Lane to the Middle Bosque River. The river is dry and will likely stay dry until late fall. The trails vary in terrain and also in elevation. It is recommended to wear sturdy shoes for hiking. We have 85 forested acres with trails for exploring on this site. If you would like an accompanied tour of the land, please just ask. Otherwise, I will walk you to the trailhead and send you on your way. I will be happy to spend as much time as you like hiking through the woods, or just leave you be. There are two stocked fish ponds onsite, as well as a fishing boat and a paddle boat. Dogs and people are welcome to swim. We are not currently running the two waterfall features. We will likely resume this in the fall. We will happily provide dogs and their humans with toys, snacks, and water. With it being September in Central Texas, please be aware that there are snakes in the woods. There are also flying, biting, stinging insects, and ticks. We haven't had any problems with either when it comes to our dogs. Booking after 7, we run our sprinklers. You may get wet. I can provide towels. We do have a livestock watering container that we use as a swimming pool. I keep it cold. You are welcome to it. It will never say it is safe in nature, but you can navigate it safely. Please text for an immediate response. 254-749-8338.
