Upon arrival at the Sniffspot, the absence of signage or clear directional indicators under the name of Sniffspot led to a confusing initial experience, prompting thoughts of immediate departure. Following entry, the lack of parking guidelines or directional markers compounded the confusion. Additionally, the presence of glass debris along the paths and the absence of waste disposal amenities detracted from the overall appeal of the spot. Furthermore, it was noted that the host appeared to book cabins on the premises, as evidenced by the presence of another individual during our visit. This simultaneous usage of the space by different parties created a sense of intrusion and fairness concerns for both the occupants of the cabin and ourselves. Such overlapping bookings detracted from the overall experience and should be addressed to ensure a more equitable and enjoyable visit for all guests. Moreover, the purported pond for recreational use appeared more akin to a swamp, raising concerns about its suitability for water-related activities. This observation, coupled with previous reviews mentioning the potential presence of beavers in the area, further discourages any inclination towards water play. In conclusion, while the location holds promise, with clearer instructions from the host and improvements in amenities and booking practices, the Sniffspot could offer a more satisfactory experience.
Nice spot! Dogs had a lot of fun. My dogs have excellent recall so fencing wasn’t an issue but the boundaries seemed clear to me. Lots of rabbits and squirrels out at this time of year.
Due to the lack of signage/fencing, we couldn’t tell where the park started and ended. There were other people heard and seen. Though there weren’t other dogs, I would say there is a chance of run in with other people or people on bikes. The pond had evidence of beavers everywhere, so we had to avoid it for our dogs safety. We also found glass on the walking path and couldn’t find any garbage can for poop bags.
First time out and we had a great time on the beautiful, treed property.
Thank you Carmen for sharing your place, Carmen is very nice and has a great place for my furry friend. The place is obviously very muddy, so be careful and wear boots.
Beautiful spot ! They also have cabin rentals. 10/10 recommended.
Wonderful visit! Lots of room to run for my Doberman Willow. And she run and run and run. We loved it! Thank you Carmen.
Gorgeous scenery and lots of room to run..!
Beautiful spot close to the city. There are lots of trees and spots to run around. The spot is not fenced and there is a highway close by so your dog will need good re-call. I went in the winter and the paths are not plowed so you need to dress appropriately and be able to walk in the conditions. I wasn't able to find the garbage so had to take the poop home in my trunk but the host messaged after advising where the garbage was located.
We had a fun time in the snow. Will be back again.
