Hello! This is Pup Pup. I am a dog angel just doing what angels do best - helping my human! I invite you to check out this incredible play space - keep reading! Your human may be stressed and hard to manage right now, but it's okay. Just bring them here and he or she will relax, I promise! They're going to act like it's allll you...that you haven't been out enough or have enough room. That's okay. Let them believe that. Whatever it takes to get you here! There is a very comfortable place for them to sit with a beautiful, peaceful waterfront view with lots of birds and squirrels. Unless of course you're just bonkers. For you there is lots of grass, sun and shade, SOOOO much to see and sniff, and plenty of room to run. Don't worry if nature calls and you have to make a little poo. Just make sure your human sees it and scoops it up please. The bags are in a little blue bone hanging on the tree in front of the stump with the American flag. There is a water bowl next to the hose in case you get thirsty. Let the water run for a couple of minutes though, it is super hot at first! Also, please get your human to rinse the bowl out when your done because 'nother dog slobber is just gross. Which by the way is the reason this is a B.Y.O.T. spot - Bring Your Own Toy dawwg - ain't no one wantin' to share slobber 'round here. As I mentioned before, there is plenty of shade and your humans can move the chairs around if they want. Just please have them put them back when they're done. There's almost always a little breeze so they may not even need to. If the cushions are not on them they will be in a container nearby. There is also a milk crate to the right of the stump with the American flag. That, my friend, is one of the best kept secrets around! Your human can move it around the yard to sit on so very easily and it puts them at the PERFECT height for games and kisses!! You're welcome! Let's talk about critters for a minute. The wild kind that are a wonderful part of our world. There are an incredible assortment of birds and lizards which should be of no concern, but there is always a possibility of snakes which might make your human a little uneasy and make you lose your marbles. Just be careful. My human spends a LOT of time in the yard had has only ever seen one harmless little black racer. Finally, I was a little feller so the fence would have been more than adequate for me, but for you bigger feisty dogs we might need to chat about this. It is about 4 ft tall most places but there are a couple of spots where dirt and stuff has accumulated over the years and it may be a little shorter. Annnnd...there are chickens. Yup. The neighbor has chickens and they are frequently struttin' their delicious feathery little selves around. Depending on your size and temperament this may not be an issue but Is definitely worth mentioning. Also, the creek front side of the yard is not fenced. There are natural barriers but you serious water loving dogs or escape artists could get out there with enough determination. Don't panic if you get yourself out there - it is never more than about 2-3 ft deep. The mud is relatively firm in the grassy area closest to the yard. It does get super squishy beyond that though. I think once you step paw out there you'll change your mind but again, I thought it was worth mentioning. Also, it is a tidal creek. If your visit is at low tide there won't be a whole lot of water in the creek. Well, that oughta do it. I hope you get a chance to visit and enjoy this amazing little piece of heaven on Earth! Oh yeah, one last thing. You can see a picture of me if you scroll through all the pictures. I sure was a handsome little devil! *Save up to 25% with a membership*

Calm peaceful spot we used to introduce a foster dog to his new family. Perfect place to hangout and lay in the hammock while you read a book while your dog plays.

Had a great time at Cheeky’s Cabana. Host was very responsive to all my questions prior to visit. Location was easy to find, in a quiet neighborhood. Day of visit host sent a welcome email to let me know where to park, also host left a lemonade drink, treats for the pup, sanitizer, poo bags, and toys under the umbrella. Very thoughtful. The yard is very safe and secure, highly recommend!!

Clean, and plenty of grassy space! My pitty was happily exhausted and not too messy. Will def come here again, thank you! Just a note, if your doggie wanders and is not well trained with recall, the space is not fully enclosed

My friend and I rented the space from the owner to practice some training skills for competition obedience and it was awesome! What a beautiful space and Christie was so accommodating and friendly! We really enjoyed our time at the facility and will definitely rent the space again! Highly recommend! Be sure to get in touch with the owner directly so that she can make sure she is available to open the building for you. It is a hidden gem and you will love it there!!!

What an amazing facility! Nothing beats the heat like an indoor sniff spot! And it saved us from getting rained on. She has every toy your dog could want with plenty of room to run around and stay cool! Great for playing, training, and introducing your dog to a multitude of new experiences! Will definitely be back and hopefully joint one of her group classes in the future! Willow has a blast!

This yard is absolutely huge! We brought our 40-lb mixed breed dog that is high energy and she had an absolute blast playing frisbee and zooming around the yard. As described, the yard is divided into two sections. The first section alone is more than enough for several dogs to play around in or play some frisbee/fetch. The second section is an awesome addition stretching far back, where my dog had fun sniffing around and exploring. I highly recommend visiting this yard!

The yard has a great mix of Sun and shade, a table and comfortable chairs and an expanding hose in case you need it. It’s tidy and plenty big enough for 2 or three large dogs to play chase and have zoomies. The fences are all privacy fences and the gate latches securely. There’s a wide parking apron next to the house. The owner wasn’t there when we were, so plenty of room. Even though it’s close to a busy road, the yard was quiet. The host also very kindly kept her own dogs in a part of the house where they would not be seen by visiting dogs. Stephanie was also prompt in responding to questions. Thanks for a great visit!

The set up was so cute! They had treats, toys, accessories, and indeed, a full Santa suit! My dog is a bit unruly but we got some super cute photos that I’ll cherish forever.

FAQ about our Jacksonville dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 98% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Jacksonville area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 89 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 16 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
