45Our first sniff spot
55Great spot! Definitely muddy so I always combine with bath day.
55Great atmosphere and the host was very accommodating. 10/10 recommend.
55Absolutly lovely fensed in backyard. Toys and balls offered along with poobags. My dog loved them all!
55Great place for our dog! We had a lot of fun!
55Great sized backyard in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the agility equipment. We will be definitely back again
55The area was the perfect size for my very active dog, its very well kept with lot of things for the pups to do, the instructions are very clear. My pup loved the obstacle course as well as having enough room to just run around and sniff everything! Will definitely be coming back!
55The years was spacious for running and playing! The toys that were provided were extra fun for the pups to play with and helped as we were not well-prepared as we thought! Great space to get some energy out
45This was our first Sniffspot experience for Baja and she had fun. We appreciated the agility equipment access, toys, water bowl, and the secure fencing. Would have been good to know that the water access was limited but we figured it out. Unfortunately, the yard is too small and muddy for our high-energy dog to return in wintertime but maybe we’ll try again in the summer.
55Easy to find, clean, and a great open space for your pup to run around! It was nice they already had toys and a water bowl there for people to use! Will definitely come back!

Description

I’ve lived in major metropolitan areas with reactive dogs and understand how important it is for dogs to have a safe space to be dogs, off-leash! Our backyard is just that - we ensure all vegetation in the yard is safe for dogs, and we’d so love to provide a safe, fun spot for you and your dog to be able to have a good time! Our yard is fully fenced, and fences are at least 6 ft tall. No adjacent neighbors have dogs, so this is a quiet spot for you to bring Fido. The entrance is gated with a secure latching gate, so feel confident to let your dog run, sniff, and roll around.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Neighbors may be present in their yards. Chickens are not present in adjacent yards, but can be vocal in the early morning and evening. Squirrels regularly run along fence tops!

Extras

Coffee$3

Fresh French press coffee is available black, or with a nondairy milk of your choice.

Larabars$2

If you’re on the run and need a snack, we’ve got you! Minimally processed Larabars are available for purchase if you just need a snack to tide you over during your pup’s play session.

Matcha tea$3

Freshly brewed matcha tea with your choice of nondairy milk is available, if you need a boost to keep up with your pup!

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We just added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who need to visit after dark. They light up the entryway, main field, and the shelter. Thank you!
