HOST REPORTS

Sometimes

This is generally a quiet neighborhood, although we are located on a busier street. Occasionally people walk by on the sidewalk that runs along the front property line. This usually isn’t an issue at all, due to your dogs having so much fun inside our spot. You/your dogs would only see outside the front fence line if walking/running along the front fence line next to the street. You may see a neighbor on a rare occasion if you explore the far backside of the property along the fence. Family members may come and go during your visit, but this is in a separate fenced area and they will be aware of your privacy.

Description

Welcome to Nature in the City – Your Private Dog Park Escape Looking for more than just a fenced-in field? Nature in the City is a one-of-a-kind private dog park where you and your pup(s) can enjoy the freedom of nature without ever leaving the city. Spread across 1.5 acres of secure, fully fenced natural land, our park offers a true adventure for dogs of all sizes. Explore winding wooded trails, a grassy field perfect for fetch with ropes, discs, or toys, and a serene wetland area where healthy little Chicken Creek flows gently through the center. With water that’s never more than a foot deep, pups can safely splash, sip, and cool off. Here, every visit is more than exercise—it’s a sensory adventure. With endless new scents, sights, and textures, your dog will love the chance to explore, sniff, and roam off-leash in a safe environment. It’s also the perfect setting to practice recall while letting your pup enjoy the freedom of open space. ✨ Why guests love us: • A true “nature park” experience, right in the city. • Fully fenced and secure—even for small dogs. • A mix of landscapes: open field, forest, creek, wetland, and trails. • Three charming bridges spanning the creek. • Private bookings mean no surprise dog encounters. •. Amenities for dogs AND their humans! If you and your dog crave more than a standard dog park, Nature in the City is the perfect escape for adventure, relaxation, and play! ⚠️ A quick note: Some trails have gentle slopes or steeper spots, so guests with limited mobility may prefer our flatter areas. And while our field is great for fetch with toys or discs, IT’S NOT DESIGNED FOR BALL THROWING due to the surrounding natural brush. We’re always making improvements at Nature in the City, so you may notice new touches each time you visit! Amenities include: • Covered rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (extra chairs available on request) • Supplies for your convenience: dog toys, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit & even a cornhole game • Complimentary snacks & beverages for both pups AND their humans. • Outdoor seating: 2 zero-gravity recliners, a kid-sized picnic table, a round table with umbrella & 4 chairs, and a couple park benches placed throughout the park. • Fresh drinking water for your dogs • Mix of sunny open spaces and shady spots under mature trees Safety & Security: • Fully fenced with 5–6 ft fencing, carefully inspected and maintained • Private and secure environment for worry-free off-leash play Extra Features: • Night lighting: As of Sept. 2025, we’ve added additional flood lights that softly illuminate the entryway, main field, main trail, and supply shelter for about 4 hours after dark. Perfect for evening visits! For deeper trail exploring after dark, we recommend collar lights for your pups and a headlamp or flashlight for you. • Seasonal Note (March–September): Baby bunnies may be nesting on the property. They’re usually well-hidden, but if your pup uncovers a nest, please cover it back up. If you see a baby wander out, gently place it back and redirect your dog. The bunnies have no scent, which helps protect them from predators, so dogs usually don’t notice them unless they spot movement. • 🌧️ Weather Reminder: Areas get muddy in rainy weather. We’ve added wood chips in many spots to help, but we recommend hiking boots 🥾 and dressing accordingly so you and your pup can fully enjoy your adventure. **Fosters and Shelter Dogs visit for free! - If you have a foster dog or are taking a shelter dog out for an adventure please let us know! 🩵 We can’t wait to welcome you and your pups for a safe, fun, and relaxing nature escape! 🐾

Hazards

HOST NOTE

We don’t use any chemicals to protect our land, our healthy little creek, and all of the beautiful birds, bunnies, deer, and other critters and humans who live in and visit our spot. So, we have blackberry bushes throughout the property. They grow fast! We will continually cut them back and are committed to working on them regularly. There are little Gardener snakes present that hide and are rarely seen. **A couple of Yellow Jacket 🐝 nests were discovered late September/early October 2024. We treated the nests immediately and have not seen anymore Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jacket nests were taken care of on 10/8/24 and on 10/11/24. There shouldn’t be any future issues. (A few guests had reported a bee/yellow jacket ground nest inside the lower middle grassy area of our Sniffspot near the creek, and they were stung from disturbing the nest). PLEASE let us know if you see any Yellow Jackets during your booking so we can address any potential new nests. This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water

Hi! I’m an animal lover and I’m so happy to be able to share our special space with you and your pups. We love that we can offer a nature park-like setting with a creek right here in Vancouver. We make it a priority to maintain our space so it’s accommodating, yet still has a nature feel. Please let us know if anything needs to be addressed, and/or if you have a suggestion to make our spot even better! We hope you love our spot as much as we do.

Trail & Tail "The Meadow" — Flat & Fenced I-5 Access Dog Space in Ridgefield

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

The Meadow is a wide-open, fully fenced space just over a quarter acre — a generous private dog space just off the I-5 freeway exit. With flat, grassy ground and a dry, well-maintained surface, it's perfect for dogs who need room to run, stretch out, or simply roam at their own pace. Accessed by a peaceful trail from the parking area, the walk to The Meadow sets a calm tone before your dog even sets a paw inside. A bench inside the space means you can sit back, relax, and let your pup do their thing — no hovering required. Whether you have a high-energy dog who needs space to burn off steam, a nervous dog who benefits from a calm open environment, or a senior pup who just wants a quiet grassy stroll, The Meadow delivers. We also have an on leash trail that can be used while on the property. Great for: High-energy dogs needing a run · Reactive or anxious dogs who need space and calm · Senior dogs · Owners who want to relax while their dog roams

Trail & Tail "The Overlook" — Easy I-5 Access, Fenced in Ridgefield

Fully Fenced
0.11 acres

Welcome to The Overlook — a fully fenced dog space with natural terrain, and plenty to keep curious noses busy. Enclosed by 6-foot fencing, The Overlook is a secure spot where your dog can roam, sniff, and play freely. The gently sloping hillside leads down toward Gee Creek, a small creek tucked along the property edge, creating the kind of rich, layered scent environment that dogs find endlessly fascinating. Mulch and bark pathways keep paws comfortable and the ground manageable even in wetter months. It's a great space for a game of fetch, a casual sniff session, or just letting your dog decompress off-leash in a contained setting. The varied terrain adds a little natural adventure to every visit. We also offer an on leash trail to use while on the property. A heads up: The Overlook sits adjacent to a busy road, so there is noticeable traffic noise. The 6-foot fencing keeps your dog completely safe and secure, but if your pup is sensitive to road sounds, our other space — The Meadow — may be a better fit. Great for: Fetch and active play · Sniff-focused enrichment · Dogs who do well with ambient noise · Owners who want a secure, contained space to relax

Welcome to Red Barn Run located in Ridgefield, Washington. This space is a mile off of I-5. Enjoy a peaceful country setting and let your pampered pets get all their wiggles out as they run, run, run! *Please note the back half of the property is fenced off due to wet ground conditions. We hope to open it back up near the end of May. 🐾🐾 Got mud? We sure do! We've heard from many guests that love to give their pups this experience because some dogs love mud! There are also guests who are not so fond of the muddy pup clean up afterward. If you choose to visit, please be prepared and consider rain gear including rainboots for all guests and towels for muddy pup clean up. 1/9/26: 🦅 The eagles are back! There are a pair of beautiful bald eagles that are often in the trees on or near the park. For this reason, dogs under 15 pounds should always have a spike vest on for their safety when at Red Barn Run. Eagles have the ability to pick up and fly off with dogs as big as 15 lbs. Easley Acres Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Vancouver

Fully Fenced
2 acres

We live on 5 acres about 1 mile from Camp Bonneville. The 2 acre pasture has a fenced seasonal pond in the middle, flat and open with lots of room for zoomies, frisbee, fetch, or just lounging and enjoying the birds and trees. Pasture is fenced with 4 foot field fence with electric wire at the top (not charged), and separate from the house. Front fence borders on 68th St. Plenty of room to run and explore! Let's keep the pasture nice, please discourage digging and pick up after dog. My Border Collie and Mini Aussie will find your leavings (it's a large space, I understand things get missed, it helps to carry poo bags to minimize backtracking). For human exercise... 6 laps around perimeter fence is approx. 1 mile, 6 laps around pond fence is approx. 1/4 mile.

Ridgefield Red Barn Run

Fully Fenced
2.5 acres

Thank you! 🐾🐾
