25I was excited when this Sniffspot opened near me, but it was not a particularly fun experience. When I got there, there were two dogs in the yard. I was there at 7 exactly. I waited a couple minutes, then messaged the host to ask what was happening. No response. Waited longer, messaged again. No response. I’ve never used sniffspot before, so I was unsure what the protocol is. Eventually, I knocked on the door. I could hear commotion inside and sounded like the dogs were being brought in — but I didn’t want to go into the yard until I got an all clear that it was safe to do so. No one came to the door, though. I messaged again. No response. Finally, against my better judgement, I went into the yard 15 minutes into the hour I’d reserved. The yard was fine, pretty wet and had multiple piles of dog poop throughout it that made playtime a little less fun. The main problem, though, was that the dogs continued barking at us from inside the house the entire time we were there, even coming to the backdoor and jumping up to where they were nose to nose with my dog. It was very distracting for my dog, and made me a little nervous since I hadn’t ever gotten a response from the host that it was safe to enter. All and all not a great experience.

Enjoy our Fully Fenced Private Backyard Oasis In Crozet

Hello! My name is Katie and we are so excited to offer our yard space to your furry best friend. My family has lived in an apartment the last two years while house hunting in Crozet, and we have learned how difficult it is to have dogs without access to a yard. Now that we are settling into our new home, we are excited to offer our space for afternoon fetch, morning zoomies, and just lounging in the sunshine. Animals just make the world a better place. You will always have complimentary access to our hammock and swing gazebo. Please refrain from using the kids play equipment! Come enjoy some nature time in our yard in Crozet. :) Arrival Notes: When you arrive you can park anywhere on our gravel driveway. The gate to the right of the house that goes into our garden is where you will enter. This “holding” area in the garden gives you a chance to triple check there are no lingering guests or animals in the yard. Once you are in our backyard please shut the gate behind you. Most guests enjoy hanging out in the firepit area where there are hammock swings and seating. Along the fence, you will see a spot for water, toys, and other things I thought you may need. We ask that guests not utilize our small deck near the house, so that our dogs don’t bark and disturb their stay! So far all of our guests have come a second time, so if you end up booking again, I’d love any feedback on how to make your visit extra special. Anyway, that is all for now, thanks again and enjoy the sunshine!! ~Katie
