This spot has been great for us. This is the second time we’ve brought my daughter’s two Giant Schnauzers. It’s simple to get in and out, and it gives these dogs a chance to really run. We’re fog-sitting for a couple of weeks, so we will be back.

This was a wonderful place to visit! It was easy to find and really is like having a dog park to yourself. There was a place to sit while supervising play, dog toys, and a place to dispose of waste. The dogs had a great time running and playing, the soccer ball was our pup's favorite. There is a kennel nearby with many barking dogs, which was a little bit of a distraction for our particular pups so we didnt play as long as we planned. Overall, everyone had a great time and we appreciated the opportunity to visit, thanks so much!

Great spot for dogs to play. Well maintained and nice host. Could use more dog toys and if you go at night takes a little time for lights to brighten.

  • Madelyn B., Nov 10, 2023

Gracie had a great time! It was well maintained and lots of room for fetch and playtime. Good variety of toys too. There was a water bowl but I didn’t see anywhere to fill it. The dog kennel being on property was a bit distracting.

Hound Hill Rustic 1 Acre Fenced Private Dog Park in West Avon

Hound Hill is a fully fenced one acre wooded doggy paradise. We have our own pack of four dogs and created this space for them. They use the large yard daily but will always be secured inside the house for the entirety of your visit. Hound hill is an unimproved wooded area, but we have cleared brush, leaves and sticks for easier walking and playing with your dog. Our fence is mesh critter fence which is wildlife friendly for the deer, bears, bobcats and other animals that travel through our property. If you are looking for a large space for fetch or just to let your dog explore then this is the place! Please note that the dog park is on a hill and there are no paved or flat areas within the park. It is recommended that you wear good shoes with traction and are comfortable walking through an unimproved wooded area. There are rocks, sticks, leaves and uneven terrain. If you have physical limitations this park may be very difficult for you to use. When you arrive please take time to walk the fence line with your dog on leash first to ensure the fence is intact. Due to the nature of critter fencing and the abundance of wildlife, we have had occasional breaks caused by deer and bear as well as branches that have fallen. If you spot any issue please message the host and they will immediately address the issue. We love this fence because it does not entangle the wild animals and is very easy to repair. This means we have to inspect it often, and we do, but for the safety of all we encourage each doggie chaperone to do their own visual inspection before allowing dogs free rein. We do treat the area with cedar oil for ticks. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides or fertilizer. Please pull all the way into the drive and park in the gravel spot to the left of the garage. There is marked parking for one vehicle. If you have additional vehicles please park the second vehicle in the culdesac and walk in. Do not block the garage doors. Enter and exit through the gate directly in front of the parking spot. Please do not use the gate on the other side of the lot for any reason. Please do not use the smaller fenced area directly off the back of the house. Please pick up after your dog. Removal of dog waste is imperative in order for us to continue to offer this spot. Thank you so much for visiting, I love seeing our clients and their dogs enjoy themselves so much while playing freely!
