Great spot for my dog to unwind! Good recall or a longline definitely necessary but a beautiful spot to play with your pup :) no people or dogs seen the entire time & the field was easily accessible, clean, and dry !!

Open field with a rolling hill. My wife stood on the opposite side of the field from me and we called our red healer back and forth till she was tuckered out. Perfect on this Sunny cold day! We'll be back!

Quiet little field that worked out well for my three well behaved and off leash trained dogs. Would not recommend if your dog has a bad recall but otherwise the price is great for the location! It’s simple and they enjoyed the stop during our road trip

Meet your host

Welcome to your private bonding spot. This field is a great fit for trained to be off-leash dogs of any size and age. There is no proper dog fencing- in fact the old barbed wire could cause a problem should your dog try to escape through the fencing. This is a rough and tumble play catch sort of space. Very little shaded areas depending on time of day. But not without some nice trees to stand under while throwing a ball. Or on a windy day flying a kite! This is a great place for country styled photos with your furry loved one. About the people here: we are a small family with renters living on a one way drive way. We all like our privacy as much as you do - maybe more! We respect your time and space and want to limit any confusion. Parking, and waste disposal is outside the driveway gate. Please do not drive into the field or up the driveway to turn around. We do not expect to see you driving up to our homes for any reason minus an emergency of life or death. No smoking/vaping/substance use anywhere of any kind. Bring a water and a dish for your pup. The occasional blackberry spike is possible - be aware of your pups paw needs. No poison oak or ground wasps that we know of in this field. Lots of ankle twister mole holes in certain areas. We have enjoyed the rustic experience for a generation and hope you will many times over.

PLEASE NOTE: There has been a trend of visitors not being mindful of the rule to keep vehicles on graveled surfaces. The orange cones and guide rails set out to help guide drivers is not working - in fact my cone has been destroyed and my 4x4 posts run over. Not staying on graveled surfaces is a maintenance issue and degrades soil surfaces. Over time I will be installing more substantial barriers to increase visual awareness to where gravel ends and soil begins. In the meantime, I will be substantially increasing my fee - 1. To offset the cost of supplies and to purchase a load of gravel once enough funds have been generated to cover that expense, 2. To compensate me for my time providing maintenance and repair and 3. To hopefully ensure that all guests are being respectful of our property. I can only offer this sanctuary to dogs if my property is respected and my rules followed. I appreciate your attention to this detail and to you following all rules listed here and at the gate. MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST to repeat/returning guests after we have met. Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 2 acres in size (I do not have specific data on the actual acreage) and fully fenced.
