Description

Bring your pup to stretch, run, and explore our 2-acre fully fenced property in Junction City! The entire area is enclosed with a sturdy 6-foot chain link fence, and portions include a privacy screen for extra peace of mind and comfort. Your dog will have plenty of room to roam, sniff, and play safely off-leash. While there are goats and chickens outside of the fenced area, they are not visible from the dog park. The space includes chairs and a table —perfect for relaxing while your pup plays—and some dog toys to keep the fun going. We're currently building a permanent covered area as the canopy tents we previously used do not hold up during heavy rainstorms. We are conveniently located in Junction City, being an ideal getaway for dogs who love open space and secure freedom.

We have cut all the blackberries inside the dog park and covered areas with mulch but you might still encounter some on the ground. The ground can be uneven in some spots. During the rainy season the ground will be muddy.

Please note that the Sniff Spot is not lit at night. Since it gets dark early, please be prepared and bring a headlamp or flashlight. Please pick up your dog's poop. We also ask that you please put the toys back in the storage bin and not leave them out in the field. If you use the black rope tug toy which can be attached to the pole we installed, please put it back in the bin as well. We, and the people coming after you, appreciate it! Thank you.

After nearly a decade in dog rescue and Kerstin training and rehabilitating dogs (and continuing that work) we also wanted to create a special place where dogs can simply be dogs. This private dog park is the first part of our passion project to build a space that brings fun and fulfillment to pups and their humans! Accessible entry includes parking only a few feet away, with additional parking space for extra large vehicles, including motorhomes or trucks. The large, level field is great for training, play time, or socializing. There is plenty of room to run, play fetch, and enjoy the wading pool in warm weather, with no unwelcome direct contact with other dogs or people. Reactive dogs are welcome! Hello! So glad you’re here :) I live on a fully fenced acre with about half available for dog activities right now! We love our furry guests and we are also a full time dog boarding home / pet sitters! All fur babies are welcome. We do ask that you please pick up after your dog - we will have shovels and poop bags readily available. You are also more than welcome to walk your dog down our road if you are looking for a lovely leisure walk! When visiting I will make sure all dogs are up in the house. There may be barking here and there so please let me know if your dog has any sensitivities and I will accommodate. There is an occasional horse in the next pasture or goats. Some people get cell phone service out here while others don’t - enjoy unplugging and winding down or I can supply our WiFi password if desired. Thank you!
