Description

This is a small and quiet location. Best for a relaxed outing and lake swimming adventure for your pup. Located in an established neighborhood but set way back and very secluded in the woods. We are waterfront on a private cove of Pachaug Pond. We have a small beach/sand area and a dock where dogs can swim and jump into the pond. It gets weedy but that doesn’t stop the pups! There is a small fire pit area for responsible use. On occasion, boaters and jet skis will go by. This is typically the people who live down the cove or quiet fishermen. Our yard is pesticide and fertilizer free. There are a couple of chairs on the beach for owners and a hammock to use. You may bring your own camp/beach chair as well. There is wooded area all around with a couple small paths to explore. The trees create shade around the property. There are motion detection lights for evenings. There is an abundance of wild life around including but not limited to: deer, chipmunks, squirrels, woodchucks, eagles, blue heron, song birds, ducks, geese, fish, muskrats, and more. If your dog cannot be recalled, you should keep them leashed. Our dog Charlie lives here. She is a tiny 13 pound Cavapoo. Our children live here. If your dog is not safe around dogs or children or people of any kind, this is not the place for you. Parking is allowed along the stone wall by the house, or along the grass close to the house, or on the stone parking area in On occasion, boaters and jet skis will go by. front of the garage. There is a gated pool but that is not to be accessed by dogs or owners. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and for maintaining control at all times.

NOTE we have had a few recent issues with folks being sent to the wrong location while using Apple Maps. If you are having trouble locating us we suggest using Waze or Google Maps as an alternative. The driveway is well marked with Sniffspot signs. Fully fenced, lightly wooded yard, about an acre. Paths around perimeter and throughout. Barn with kennels in case you need to separate dogs or get in out of the weather. Plenty of shade. The property contains many boulders, tree stumps, logs and leaves for your dog to explore, and lots of room to run. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and watch your step. There may be roots, rocks, holes or the occasional poop hiding under the leaves. Several of our guests have seen deer on the path to the SniffSpot gate. We strongly recommend keeping your dogs leashed until you are safely inside the fenced area.
