Nice open yard, with lots of room for running and a variety of toys to use with your dog.

Haven't visited for a while 'cause we live far away. My dog Teddy was very happy to be back to one of his favorite Spots! The new hose next to the big stainless steel water bowl is a great addition! Makes it so easy to add fresh water for thirsty pups. Thank you! We had a great visit and will always come by when we are in the area.

This was my first time using SniffSpot and it was great. My dog had space to get to top speed chasing his ball, and he also enjoyed sniffing around the little orchard area and along the fences. I would advise everyone to be aware of the mole holes since they could cause injury if a dog steps in one while running, but my dog also really liked sticking his nose in them. As you can see in the picture, he was totally worn out before the end of our visit.

My curious dog ended up going under the tent and I was afraid he was going to get into trouble, so just be careful of the fact that they can go in if they're willing to crawl under

It was just what we needed! Our pup loved the variety of toys, and there were lots of interesting areas and smells for him to explore. Plus, a large field area that was great for running around.

Came here on a very hot day since it has a lot of shade because I needed to get out of my house with workers around. Even though it was 85 outside, the shade gave us good respite. There was water available (though I wish the hose was too so we could refill with cold water) and plenty of toys. My dogs had fun and every corner was properly fenced in. Will be back!

Thx! I left ziplock w/small ice pack u lent me for last months bee sting on the top shelf of metal shelving against wall. The pack was sanitized & is in a ziplock. Thx!

Great large space to chase a ball and roll around on grass

Fencing was secure, yard was well maintained, plenty of toys and balls, fresh water in a giant bowl. This spot is oddly shaped, but my dogs had so much fun running in circles chasing each other through the various corners, it was like a race track for them 😂 We went on a hot day but there was plenty of shade from trees. Next door neighboor on the left has a shih-tzu that was very yippy about our arrival, but their owner took them inside so we didn't see/hear that dog after we initially arrived.

My love of animals begins with dogs. My appreciation and respect for living beings extends to all life. I was born & grew up in Seattle. I was lucky to find a home on a large lot (.86 acre) with a fenced backyard. The backyard overlooks a greenbelt ravine. Many visitors are commented on the abundance of bird songs permeating the area.

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There is a tetherball on site and numerous other dog toys available as well. Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photo 16 shows a shot of the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are also responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for somene on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry.
