Location

Description

Over 4200 square feet of Astroturf play area conveniently located adjacent to the BWI airport (less than a 5 min Uber ride away). The yard is surrounded by wooden privacy fencing so your pups can focus on playing! Astroturf provides a soft, plush, clean surface so even wet dogs don’t get dirty during their stay (perfect if you’re waiting on a flight or traveling with your pup). Covered sitting area to keep guests shaded. Space is equipped with agility equipment including an a-frame, adjustable jump, tunnel, agility stakes, and back tie. The space also has various toys on the ground, kiddie pools/dog activated water fountain/hose in the summer to keep dogs cool . If coordinated in advance (and with owner supervision) you can even use the slat mill for an extra physical challenge. If you’re bringing a young puppy out please message us directly so we can put out the ball pit. The space is equipped to be used in the dark and has many solar motion activated lights along the fence, solar lights on the pergola, and a lit walkway leading up to the gate. The best travel companion is a happy/tired pet. As the weather gets nicer you may see some neighbors on your way in and may hear them while in the yard. You may also hear the normal neighborhood noises and the occasional cluck of a chicken. No dogs live in the yards adjacent to the fence so you rarely hear barking; however, we occasionally take in reactive board and trains. In the extremely rare case one of our houseguests barks and disturbs your peace during the visit let us know and we will make it right. On most hot days the turf gets warm in direct sunlight. Typically we will spray it down between guests if we are home. However, please check the turf intermittently and spray down as desired. The turf has an infill that causes significant evaporative cooling once its sprayed down. The small red cooler typically has water for the humans! Please help yourselves! Please no smoking 🚭 anywhere on the property. Cigarettes could damage our turf (extremely expensive to fix) and poison dogs. Sometimes organic debris blows off trees and into the yard. We regularly clean up leaves etc when it’s nice, but we can’t when it’s raining. If wet leaves/maple seeds aren’t your thing- no problem! We’d love to host you when the weather dries up🙂

Hazards

Agility equipment can be dangerous if used inappropriately. Please don’t use the equipment if you’re not comfortable with it. Equipment is meant to support dogs not people. Please don’t crawl on/through agility equipment. Turf can get hot midday. Please spray it down as desired with the hose provided.

Please spray off any residue with the hose provided. 3) Dispose of all trash in the black trash bin (with no lid) near the gate. If dogs poop in the front yard, please bag it and dispose of it in the black bin. All recycling goes in the yellow bin. 4) Please prevent dogs from destroying provided toys. If a dog destroys a toy please dispose of it in the black bin. 5) Do not use agility equipment if you’re unfamiliar with use. 6) Please watch dogs at all time- Astroturf is extremely expensive/durable but destructive/determined dogs may be able to inflict damages. 7) Most importantly respect the neighbors. This is a great place for our puppy to run and explore in a controlled space. The (kiddie) pool was an added bonus for us as we want our dog to be comfortable around and in water. We’ll be back, for sure.

  • Kara C., May 29, 2023

We absolutely loved it! Our mini dachshund really enjoyed the agility items that were there and our corgi loved playing with the balls! Tysm, we’ll definitely be back if you’ll have us!

  • Allie L., May 28, 2023

The treats and the water were such a nice touch this time- thank you so so much! Pizza LOVED the pool you had set up as well. Always a great visit when we come here! Thank you!!

  • Danielle S., May 28, 2023

Seriously SO amazing!! Better than I anticipated. Danielle had all the agility equipment out for us and water already in the pools. Very clean and we loved the hooman hangout area! Living in the city with no backyard has been a struggle and our newest rescue is not good with new dogs. So going to a dog park or just walking around Patterson park has always been so stressful. So this place was a gem for us and the dogs!! Thank you so much for having us! We will definitely be back!!!

Host replied: Y’all were an absolute joy to host. Everything was put back so perfectly that we weren’t even sure you’d been here 😂 “gone without a trace!”. Thanks so much for helping us take care of the space we truly love offering a spot for dogs to dog out!!

  • Sarah C., May 27, 2023

Quiet, clean , no fence gaps- they thought of everything! Cant wait to return!

  • Zachary B., May 27, 2023

Loved this place! Will be going back soon :)

  • Laura I., May 26, 2023

We absolutely loved our first visit and we’ll definitely be back! Easy to get to and find. Super clean. Lots of space to run around in and things to do. I love having all the water with none of the mud. They even left a birthday gift and card for my pup!

  • Karen C., May 24, 2023

Great place for my foster who is dog reactive and energetic to be off leash in a secure environment. Lots of enrichment activities. There are chickens/roosters on other side of fence so that was definitely a distraction for pup. The fence makes it hard to see them but you can hear them and he couldn't climb it. Wouldn't deter me from coming back just something to be mindful of if your dog has prey drive. Have recommended to other fosters.

  • Jaime O., May 23, 2023

Very clean and super fun space! My foster dog is a bit timid and she loved exploring the tunnel.

  • Katie S., May 21, 2023

My dog had a blast!!! She loved the tunnel, the pools and especially the sprinkler and since the whole yard is turf she didn’t leave covered in mud which is a plus! We were just in the area visiting family but we will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

Meet your host

I’m a 35 year old dog trainer operating in the Linthicum Heights area. My goal was to provide the cleanest most enjoyable training area to my clients and, once completed, decided to extend that to the general public. We have 5 working dogs onsite 1 GSD, 3 xherders (dutch x mal), and a Dutch shepherd. You won’t hear or see them during your visit. They cannot come out and play, but if you’d like to see them work you’re more than welcome to join us during our Saturday group training sessions.

Hi everyone! I have a small 13 acre private farm in rural Reisterstown, Maryland. We are very secluded and offer a peaceful place to bring your furry friend for a relaxing time exploring our lush pastures and wooded trails. It’s the perfect location to get away from it all. It’s ideal for fearful dogs that need solitude. Bring your babe and enjoy! Guaranteed to have a relaxing, quiet time. We do have chickens in the back yard that will be locked up in a run during your visit. I will provide a water bowl, some dog toys, poop bags, trash can, and a couple sling chairs. You are welcome to bring a portable hammock or additional chairs, whatever makes you comfortable. Newly added shelter to stay out of the sun or rain! We only ask that you clean up after your pet and self and please put the toys back in the bucket for others to enjoy. Unfortunately, there is no bathroom on-site other than big trees. Access to the woods can be from around the fenced area and into the trail near the bottom pasture gate. Or you can walk through the pasture straight through the gate. Head up the hill. Stay right on the trail and you will do a full circle through the woods below the barn and then back onto the driveway to the house. Stay on the trail and you will stay on our property! You may see our puppy out from time to time but he will be kept confined in the yard around the house. He’s a baby and needs to pee a lot and get his ya yas out. We try to keep it to a minimum when guests are around though. If you see us out, come say hi if you like. We love having you! If you want privacy and peace, we got you!
