Hazards

In the spring, summer, and fall there is the possibility of seeing garter snakes, bull snakes, and rattle snakes. While we have not seen these snakes inside the spot, we have seen them elsewhere on the property. If you see a snake during your visit, please do not interact with it. In our experience once they sense your presence they do their best to exit the area in a timely fashion. Please make sure to wear close toed shoes when visiting the spot.

Additional rules

If you would like to meet prior to your visit, please message me prior to visiting. I want you and your pup to be as comfortable as possible during your visit and I know that some pups are more comfortable when they are free to roam and explore without new people around. We compost dog waste. There are two compost bins, one on the north end and the other on the south end of the pasture with poop scoopers at each location. Please pick up your dog's waste with the scooper and place it in the compost bin. Next to each bin is a container with wood chips. Add a scoop of wood chips on top of the dog waste that you add to the compost bin. Please do not put trash or poop bags in our compost bins as they do not break down in our composting process. If you prefer to bag your dog's poop, please take it with you when you leave.

Super clean, well maintained and they had water available and toys. My dogs had so much fun and boy are they tuckered out! Thank you! We'll be back!

This was my first SniffSpot visit and I was extremely happy. The area is completely secure with fencing. I wasn’t worried at all about my dog escaping. It was well marked and although there was no service, the host provided WiFi. I had a beautiful temp day but I could see it getting pretty hot as there is only a small shed with some shade. The area has some bushes so I would be worried about snakes as it gets hotter but I didn’t see any on my visit and it wouldn’t deter me from visiting again. Host provided water, tennis balls, and a couple other things. Overall I was really happy. Beautiful view and secluded. All I heard was birds!

Beautiful, clean well maintained spot. My only suggestion is that since there is no shade except the small lean to - perhaps put a bench in there so there's some relief from sun in the summer. Otherwise perfect and we and our mini aussie thank you!

Host replied: Hi Vicki. Glad you enjoyed your time here. We would gladly accept your donation of a bench for the lean to!! Thank you for the generous offer!!

We never wanted to leave! What a beautiful spot to let our pups meet and run and play! Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home! We can't wait to come back!

Safe and clean area with beautiful views. Our fur family absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to return!

Kim was great about communicating when there were some logistical issues, and the spot was great for the dog to race around, do some good sniffing, and some training. There were some goats head thorns, so keep an eye out. We'll definitely be back!

We love this Sniffspot! Such a large space for the pups to enjoy, plus a beautiful view. They always leave water and toys out for the dogs as well.

  • Donna S., Apr 27, 2023

Great place, quiet, grateful for the table (and the shade it created) and provided water. Would’ve loved a little more Grass for sniffing and rolling but great SniffSpot otherwise.

  • Kara C., Apr 23, 2023

Very secluded, very clean, and my pup loved all of the space to sniff and chase the ball. I appreciated the water bowl, first aid kit, and hand sanitizer. The seating was great, a small patch of shade would have made it even better for hot days! But overall loved it and will be back.

Clean and quiet, great place to let my reactive dog run around care free.

Meet your host

I am the director of Innocent Paws Puppy Rescue. A portion of the booking fees goes to support the rescue's mission to save pregnant and nursing dogs and their puppies from overcrowded shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. I understand that not all dogs enjoy hanging out with other dogs and people and wanted to create a space that dogs and their owners can have the freedom to run, play, and sniff. This space achieves these goals. I hope you enjoy your time here!
