We are located in the far SW corner of PW, where we literally can see for miles. Our yard is mostly turf with a little bit of pea gravel & two gravel entry pathways. We have a sand beach for digging & dog friendly pet grass for munching as long as the weather holds out. We also have an on site poop disposal that empties directly into our septic system so no messy bags to deal with here!!! Plenty of parking in our cul-de-sac or along the side of our driveway near our Austrian Pines that provide some nice shade. Our gate is a double latching self closing 6’ gate. That gains you entry right from our driveway into our spacious backyard. We occasionally have deer & quail but that is the extend of our wildlife. We have an 8 year old female Greyhound & right now are fostering a 2 year female Greyhound too. They would remain in the house at all times but you could hear them whine upstairs while you are there because they would want to come out and play too.

Based on the season, it looks a little different. In the spring before the pasture is hayed, I mow trails through it. (Keep in mind when it rains or sometimes in the fall, it can get a little wet in the northwest section… but the other areas always stay dry.) When the summer comes, the pasture is hayed thereby offering a vast playground. When the winter comes in, it’s a fun place to play when it snows. My goal is to keep it lush with grass so I may offer limited open slots from time to time… So if you don’t see a time that works for your schedule, just message me! The fence is kind of old, so there is a bungee cord to help it stay shut. We have one neighbor dog on each side that are sometimes outside. Hummingbird Trails - 15 Acres of private trails in Conifer, CO

Visit our enchanted forest in the mountains! Update Feb 2026 - Trails are open! If there is snow, you’ll need a 4x4 vehicle for the roads and driveway. We have 15 acres of trails (2 miles of different trail loops) running through our property, including a narrow seasonal stream that runs strong in the spring. We use the trails for dog walking, hiking, and mountain biking. May-September we have tons of hummingbirds zipping through the property. The trails are considered intermediate: easy in parts, and intermediate in parts, with uneven Colorado rocky terrain. The trails wind up and down the side of a mountain and empty into the forest and the meadows. There are inclines and declines. This property is not for everyone - it’s very natural. The trails are in great condition and it beautiful, but there is a wild element to it similar to any park in the area. WINTER: We try to keep the trails available in the winter for snowy hikes - you'll need a 4x4 vehicle for roads and driveway. The sun can warm the snowy tails up quickly so we suggest bringing a towel for snowy days. The meadow has a couple of icy spots where the snow doesn’t melt as quickly, but you can easily walk around these small areas of the trail. Free amenities available for guest use: - WiFi - Walking/hiking poles - Air horn for guest safety - Dog waste bags and trash can - Fenced in area near parking spot - Picnic table and benches in doggy play areas. - Rock outcroppings great for climbing and photo opportunities - Seasonal stream at the bottom of the mountain trails, with natural springs flowing out of the mountain all year round. This is a fully fenced backyard with some space to run, sniff, and play. My dog, a mini bernedoodble, enjoys it when we are home but this will be fully private for you during bookings. The yard includes grassy areas, a concrete patio, and seasonally includes leaves or apples fallen from our trees. All plants and fruit are verified to be non-toxic to dogs. This spot may be best for small to medium dogs, but all dogs are welcome. There is a patio table with chairs and small trash can available with poop bags nearby. The patio is mostly in shade by the afternoon, while sun stays in much of the grassy area through early afternoon. The hose is off for the winter but will be back in the spring!
