Description

Booking Available! Fully fenced 5 acre well maintained property. Multiple different options for fenced areas adjustments with cattle gate access/closure. Fences have proven to keep chickens and goats in without issue. We have our chickens and goats in a separate fenced area (see photos) that can be opened up to larger fenced area, the “spot.” The “spot” has a large pond for pet swimming in fenced area- pond does have an aerator to keep water moving, lotus flowers, frogs, fish, etc. The pond is surrounded by rock which transitions to a sand base a few feet into the water. The pond gets quite deep towards the middle. A sprinkler or hose (available for additional cost) can used for pet water play/bathing. Please remember to bring your pets towels and any necessary bathing essentials with you. Bonfire pit (potentially available- weather dependent- for additional cost). We have a large bonfire pit on the property built in rock. There are some larger rocks surrounding the bonfire pit and pond that can be used to sit and relax on. Wood is available on property for bonfires. Relax at the picnic table that overlooks the pond and bonfire pit. Or feel free to bring a foldable chair to find your perfect spot either under one of the many trees on the property or around the bonfire.

This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water The pond is rather large and gets pretty deep towards the middle. We are considered to be more out in the country and do often see hawks, owls, squirrels, rabbits, and other such wild life. During times of heavy rainfall the spot may become quite wet and it would be best to wear rain or muck boots. (I do communicate with guests about this should the spot become quite wet.)

*For the safety of our goats and chickens and their separate fenced area, we are not allowing pet guests that are highly prey driven or highly reactive. If interested in booking please text or call Regina at 815-739-0577. We are very flexible with the amount of notice needed for a booking and availability. I am opening up the booking calendar to people on an individual basis after assurance that their dog is not highly prey driven or highly reactive. Our spot is on a large corner lot on a dead-end street in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. We have one nextdoor neighbor who has no pets, and we have large privacy trees between us. The yard is shaded with established trees, and roughly three quarters of an acre are fenced in with a ranch style wooden fence (the lowest rung is 6 inches above the ground, so our spot is not suitable for tiny dogs who might want to run underneath). The yard is not close to the road, but people occasionally walk by and are visible. We have lots of squirrels and chipmunks to chase. It's a great spot for reactive dogs who need to run or nap in a sun-dappled space and don't do well at a traditional social dog park. We have a large vegetable garden and do not use pesticides in the yard to protect our pollinator friends. Our cozy deck is available with comfortable seating, tables, and wifi. I work from home and am often around if you happen to need anything. We do have a rescued 7 year old pup on the premises, but he will stay inside and away from windows. Hi everyone! Hope all of my friends are staying warm and healthy right now. We miss you! I post a lot on the fb page so I don't mean to re say anything but it's a FREE FOR ALL! Park anywhere, walk around anywhere! I've been shoveling random spots every chance I get, I have had a couple of visits and everything has seemed to be ok! 🤠🤠 if the barn gate will not open or possibly won't close on the day you are over please use the gates around the house. There's one on every side of the house! Those have been working fine! The driveway is plowed & ok to use! Let me know if you want me to leave a sled outside for your dog to pull you! We had a blast with that today, we have a working dog and he loves a good task! With it being cold out, I will do my best to leave water in the barn for your dogs. If I do not, there is always empty bowls & the pool in the barn if you want to fill one up. I'll always message you ahead of time and let you know if I'm home to help out. There are no farm animals here currently and this is a pasture that is now cleaned up and ready for our pups to play in. You can bring chairs, set a fire in the fire pit. * Short grass / tall grass areas / hill in the very back * Fenced but CATTLE fencing so great for larger dogs & dogs with GOOD recall * Wear your cowboy boots and explore the property! * Farm area is separate from our immediate yard up by our house so you have your own space.
