It is only available after 6:30pm Mon-Fri, and is available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. You and your dog(s) will be the only ones on property during your reservation. Welcome to The Packground: a private, low-pressure yard in Palatine built for dogs who need room to sniff, stretch, play, and decompress without the chaos of a public dog park. This spot is best for solo dogs, small packs, puppies, nervous dogs, city/suburban dogs who need a reset, and owners who want a calmer off-leash option. Book the space for fetch, training practice, decompression time, puppy confidence-building, or a quiet sniff session. The yard is private during your booking. Please leash dogs when entering and exiting, clean up after your visit, and leave the space as you found it. Water, seating, trash access, and basic dog-friendly setup are available where noted in the listing. This is the first version of The Packground, so feedback is welcome as we keep improving the space for repeat guests.

We live on a corner lot. There is a high, spaced fence along the public sidewalk. There is a kiddie pool (during summer), a rain garden (not really for the dogs, but in case you're worried about water it can temporarily fill up during and after heavy rainfall), and some agility equipment (four jumps and six weave poles) upon request. Easiest access to the yard is to park on E Taylor and enter through the north gate. There is a tall, silver trash can on the patio for any human trash. There is a short, silver trash can near the north gate entrance for Dog Bags. Please enjoy a patio chair, dog toys, sunscreen, bug spray, and hammock (weather permitting). Backyard is East Facing so gets lots of morning sun. There is a sun shade over part of the patio but the patio area is 100% shaded by 3:30-4p, the yard is ~50% shaded by 6p, ~100% shaded by 7p.
