Description

Our spot is on a large corner lot on a dead-end street in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. We have one nextdoor neighbor who has no pets, and we have large privacy trees between us. The yard is shaded with established trees, and roughly three quarters of an acre are fenced in with a ranch style wooden fence (the lowest rung is 6 inches above the ground, so our spot is not suitable for tiny dogs who might want to run underneath). The yard is not close to the road, but people occasionally walk by and are visible. We have lots of squirrels and chipmunks to chase. It's a great spot for reactive dogs who need to run or nap in a sun-dappled space and don't do well at a traditional social dog park. We have a large vegetable garden and do not use pesticides in the yard to protect our pollinator friends. Our cozy deck is available with comfortable seating, tables, and wifi. I work from home and am often around if you happen to need anything. We do have a rescued 7 year old pup on the premises, but he will stay inside and away from windows. Come on in and make yourselves at home!

At our house, we do our best to treat creatures on this earth with kindness and gentleness. We are big believers in adopting pets, and have a soft spot in our hearts for anxious pups, reactive pups, and pups with baggage. They are the ones who need a little space for peace and quiet the most--and their owners are the ones who could use a comfy spot to just be outside with their pals without the stress of triggers! We support Players for Pits and love foster programs. Other things we love to do in our yard include growing food, swinging, staring at clouds, and sipping coffee on the deck or wine around the chimenea.

If I do not, there is always empty bowls & the pool in the barn if you want to fill one up. I'll always message you ahead of time and let you know if I'm home to help out.
