This was a great spot for our pooches to run free and explore. A couple of nice long "alleys" for fetch. Was a little hard to keep dogs off of the pool cover... but one of them loved the plastic he was allowed to reach! Maybe it was warm? Park in the driveway that ends in a gate below the house. Walk up the embankment to the smaller gate to enter the dog area. There were a couple of outdoor cats in the drive next to the house -- but there is no need to go there. Some topography, a few sheds, a solar array on a frame... all made the area interesting for dogs to explore.
Great spot, really nice host!
Host replied: Thank you Rachel! I really appreciate your support
I messaged quite a while back asking how long the pool would be open and was told it would close on Halloween. I messaged today to ask if we could bring two cars or needed to work out bringing only one only for Kelly to tell me that we could come a little later if we wanted to bring two cars because the guy was there cleaning the gutters, cleaning the leaves out of the pool, and putting the chemicals in the pool for it to be closed tomorrow. Mind you this was maybe half an hour to forty five minutes before we were supposed to get there and our pups were supposed to be getting in the pool. I asked if it was even safe for the dogs to get in the pool after it being treated and she told me that they used twice the amount of normal chemicals because it’s the close of the season. She told me it would probably be fine as long as the dogs didn’t drink it- as though we could somehow explain to the dogs that they could swim in it but not drink it. She said that she didn’t know when the guy was coming to put the chemicals in the pool. A very poor excuse. Only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because she seemed genuinely apologetic.
Owner was responsive and quick with messages, all was as it said it would be. Fenced in, to ourselves, pool for our new swimmer was perfect for learning without any risk or fear. Definitely will be back
Our dogs had a great time at this spot. It ended up being a good bit bigger than it looked in the pictures. Lots of nooks and crannies to sniff about. The host was lovely too, very kind and helpful
Charlie had a great time today! She loved swimming in the pool and had enough room to get out all her zoomies! The view was gorgeous too, but that was more for the human than the pup. Host gave clear and easy instructions on how to park and enter and space was perfect for my pup! We will definitely be back!
Great spot! The water in the pool is warm in the sun. Beautiful mountain view. Fence is complete and probably about 4 feet tall. Owner is friendly.
The grounds could use a bit of tidying up, but fencing was secure and the pool was a great amenity! Lovely view as well.
Host replied: Thank you! I do try really hard to go back out after each guest, but between a working hairdresser out of my home and being disabled I’m limited on what I can do on the grounds. Trust me I try. It doesn’t help with all the logging and digging up dirt behind my house that has cause so much damage to my pool, land and house. Sometimes I feel like I’m beating an dead horse, not that I would actually do that. I do miss all the trees 🌳
Nice spot with a responsive host! My dog is recovering from an injury and the pool swimming was perfect for getting him some exercise.
The perfect spot for a fun-filled break for our pack! They had a blast swimming, sniffing, and exploring the spot. Lots of yard to romp around in, and the pool was a huge hit! All the pups loved it and were worn out by the time we headed out. A great spot to visit!
