This place is 🐾paw-some! The whole area is fenced and the stream is a huge plus👍 Lots of land to sniff and run around. There are a few toys for the dogs and some chairs/table in the shade. Host Elizabeth was super fast to answer our questions. Definitely will be back!

Amazing and well maintained with tons of space! We had a great time. I brought his toys but he was more excited to try out all the communal toys scattered around, and spent a lot of his hour wading up and down the creek. We’ll definitely be back!

Great spot with gentle rolling land and a creek that is not muddy.

Such a great outlet for my reactive dog. She gets to sniff and dig in a stress free environment. The humans get to enjoy a peaceful creek and nice views. Always a great time!

Effortless and awesome! Plenty of room and shade. Even a stream!

  • Elizabeth S., Mar 15, 2023

What an absolute gem! It's tucked up in the mountains and so peaceful. There was plenty of room for my large Pyrenees mix to roam, and he LOVED playing in the creek. The spot was totally fenced and secure, with lots of toys and even comfy chairs for us humans. 10/10, will definitely play again!!

We loved this beautiful, big, open field to play in. There are also picnic tables and lots of toys with a cute creek running through. So fun!

Really nice open field in a quiet area with a stream for dogs to play in. We had a great time!

  • Paula T., Mar 11, 2023

So much room! Our 3 dogs loved it. It’s hard to run them enough to get them tired and this spot was perfect.

  • Shelley P., Mar 11, 2023

Our Shepherds love going for long romps here. Plenty of space for them to run and play ball. Highly recommend this spot for reactive, high energy dogs like ours.

A few Announcements: 1) 2/27- It came to my attention recently that in the back corner of the yard there is a small gap between my fence and the neighbor's fence where a dog could potentially get through. This came to my attention after a recent visitor was there with their dogs and my neighbor came out on their deck with their 2 smaller dogs and my visitor's dogs wanted to go after the neighbor's 2 smaller dogs. That was the 1st time I heard of this gap or anything like that happening, but I did see the gap that they were talking about, where it's possible their dogs could have gotten through if they weren't guarding their dogs from getting through. It will be a few days before I'll be able to address this as far as getting it fixed so in the meantime, this is a warning that there is a potential gap in this part of the fencing. (Bottom left corner.) **Book at your own risk.** I will update this once I've been able to secure this hole. Thank you for your patience. 2) There was a recent visitor who did not clean up after their dog. If I knew who it was, it would show up in my review of them. This is a reminder that you are expected to clean up after your dog. Thank you. Recommendations: I recommend that if you book an evening time, that you come prepared with a good flashlight, especially in the fall/winter when it's getting dark earlier, and check the time of sunset. Even with the lights on, it will be dark in most parts of the yard, and I can't guarantee the lights will be on for every evening visit. The space: A wide open space with rolling hills for your dogs to play, while you enjoy the view. *The sprinkler is actually a garden hose that is a "soaker" hose. It sprays water out of it like a sprinkler. There are plenty of sticks you can throw for the dog to fetch. The location is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes to Downtown Asheville, and close to the Folk Art Center. The newly renovated Haw Creek library and playground, Creekside Tavern, and High Five Coffee are just down the street. You can also walk to the Haw Creek Farmer's Market from here on Fridays, 3-6 pm. You can walk straight from to the Mountain to Sea trail from here without having to drive, and hike to Lunchbox rock (seen in pictures here.) I included the porch pictures so you could see the sunset. :) There is hand sanitizer, sunblock and bug spray under the stairs, under the side of the bottom step that you are welcome to use.
