Beautiful backyard. However, the German Shepard next door can easily jump the fence in places. Fence needs repairs. Host was easy to contact.
Really disappointing experience. The GSD next door was running the fence and barking non-stop and we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. The fence was not at all secure - there were multiple gaps where my dog could have gotten over or through. Left within 10 minutes.
Very nice, well kept yard. The neighbours on both sides do have dogs that bark, so be mindful if your dogs are reactive. The dogs seemed friendly. The fence was short at some places, but my shepherd mix was well contained. Lots of space to run and play. Great spot, will be back!
I love how big this yard is! My 2 Aussies have enough room to explore, chase each other, and play fetch. One of them is very reactive towards other dogs but wasn’t bothered by the barking bulldog next door. Since the yard is so big, you can control the distance between the dogs making it a perfect training opportunity for reactivity. Highly recommend! Thanks Daniel!
The yard was a great large size for my large breed dog! It was a very clean space and had a compost bin to dispose of our dogs waste bags, which was very convenient! Daniel was also reachable over text which was great to let him know we were running a tad bit late. Very great host and secure fence for Jett. Didn’t see any other dogs near the property or in the neighbours yard which was great since my dog is reactive, 115 pounds and in ecollar training :) I recommend this property and would definitely visit again!
The space was clean and the owner was very responsive throughout our stay. The neighbours are also very friendly.
Sorry to share negative review but for sake of dogs, here it is. An English bulldog came into the yard within first minutes of our arrival, barking aggressively. Luckily we had not taken leashes off our dogs yet. Someone came out and retrieved within minutes. At same time a large German shepherd in yard beside was also barking and on his hind legs against the chain link fence (low enough his head was well over and he could have cleared). Had our 120lb American Bulldog reached that fence (aka been off leash) the fence would have come down easily during a dog interaction. Left within minutes of arrival and reported to Sniffspot that this is not a safe enclosure for reactive dogs. And I would go so far as to say not safe for any dog given behaviour of the bulldog and shepherd residents.
It was a good Sniffspot. There was little to no communication with the host (not necessary). Entry instructions were clear. Backed on a forest so there are passing pedestrians. The host does have a dog who was sitting by the window so there were a few barking matches. Something to consider for reactive dogs. Also part of the fence needs repairs and is currently blocked off by a pile of bricks. Was totally fine for my 8lb dog but might be a bit low for bigger dogs.
Worst sniffspot experience ever. This is not the place if you have a reactive dog. As soon as we entered, the neighbor's dog was left outside and it kept on barking, trying to bit through the fence and aggravating our pup. There was only a small wood fence with large gaps separating the space. The neighbor was rude & inconsiderate - complained that we are here all the time (this was our first time) & she wouldn't take the dog into the house during our session even after we told her our dog is reactive. The host didn't even come outside to resolve this issue and just said sorry via sniffspot app. We came out after 5mins of this. Definitely need a refund.
Thank you, we had a wonderful afternoon! The spot is large, and the varied terrain is great for conditioning. It was nice to play a game of fetch and do some training practice, then leash the dog for for a calm walk on the trail.
