The yard is ideal for reactive dogs, shy dogs, or dogs who don’t have a yard at home. You’ll have the entire space to yourself — no other dogs will be outside during your booking. Parking is simple with free street parking right in front, and access is easy through the side gate. I keep the yard clean and ready for each visit. Please just pick up after your dog, close the gate securely, and enjoy your time.

I decided to name my spot for my mother, who always brought me to all the pet shops around and the reason for my love of animals. Enjoyed by our dogs for 15 years, our yard is a good size for zoomies, grass naps, and squirrel & bird watching. We have a table with comfy chairs and a kiddie pool. A crate of our guardian angel’s toys await your pooch. The neighbors on each side are dog free. You can spend time without a barking contest ensuing.

Large yard right on the river. No access to the river (yard is fully fenced), but human views of the water, ducks, other birds, and wildflowers on the bank. Pesticide and herbicide free lawn but various flowers, shrubs (and weeds) on the edges. Plenty of birds, bunnies, squirrels, etc. more than your average Chicago yard. End of dead end with pretty good privacy. Chain link fence on most and iron fence at front. Not ideal for small dogs or escape artists that can squeeze under or through fence. See photos for details of fence and if your dog would try to squeeze through. There are 3 big dogs at the house across the alley, but they are also well fenced. They are out on occasion, but usually not for long and I can’t guarantee their schedule. The view is mostly blocked by garbage cans and bushes, but not completely, so this may not be the place if your pup is super reactive. There are 2 Adirondack chairs, feel free to move them around into sun or shade or lay out a blanket or whatever you need to be comfortable. There is stainless steel water bowl and some toys. Except during the winter, when it will be off, feel free to use the hose by the stairs to fill up the water bowl hose the dogs off or whatever. You can pull it out into the middle of the yard, just put your foot on top of the reel to get better leverage and please reel back in and turn off after use.

Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.

Come enjoy our spacious yard with lots of grass, toys, and room to play! We have a fully fenced backyard with no gaps or holes. You can enter through our driveway and push open the wooden fence. There is plenty of parking on our block. Please do not park in or in front of the driveway. We have a small deck, table, and chairs for you to enjoy while your pup sniffs around. If weather is nice, we also have a cushioned swing to use as well! Toys, treats, fresh water, and poop bags will be provided. Welcome! Our location features a large yard and easy street parking. There is no garage, allowing for lots of space for your pet to run! The yard is fully fenced. In the spring and summer, humans and dogs can enjoy the view of the perennial butterfly garden that lines the yard.🌿 Feel free to use the black garbage cans in the alley to dispose of bagged waste. Easy and free street parking **We strive to keep our yard clean for our family and yours. Please note that in the case of same day or late night scheduling, we will likely not have the ability to do a pre visit walkthrough to ensure that the yard is 100% poop free When we catch the reservation in time and are available, we are ON IT! We have an abundance of city bunnies that play in our gardens at night and you might see some evidence of their travels through our yard. We do our best to stay on top of bunny pellets.
