When I arrived, the area was the size of an average backyard. I messaged the owner and she said she was in the process of completing the fence. I understand, and I would have appreciated knowing this before I drove down there. It’s a nice space and I’d like try again when the fencing is completed.
My dog enjoyed the time there with lots of stuff to sniff, and the chickens were very interesting to him! Julie responded to my question quickly. The only thing is that the fenced in area is not 2 acres it is probably about 1/3? of an acre that is fully fenced, while you do have access to about 2 acres- that part is not fully fenced (as of 2/2024). I uploaded an arial photo to show whole property (about 5 acres) vs fenced area- in red. She did tell me they are working on having more of it fully fenced soon.
Really nice spot, there was a water bowl and places to sit. Some cactus to watch out for, but plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the scenery.
The area was fully fenced, with mesh all the way around so it was very secure. Room to run and lots of things to sniff! My pup was fascinated by the chickens. We thought from the pictures that the table and chairs were inside the Sniffspot so we brought a little picnic, but it was outside the fence closer to the parking area (Just FYI in case you're planning on using the table). There were a couple chairs and a bench right inside the gate, but you might bring camping chairs to put further in the yard to be able to see your pup run and play.
Nice quiet place with lots for my dog to sniff. He really enjoyed watching the birds in the trees.
