Lisa's 15 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Roanoke

First Time Users! Your dogs will have a blast running around Rivercamp Dogpark, located on Southside Fort Wayne. We have a large meadow, and woods with about 1/2 mile of maintained trails. The woods run right up to the St Marys River behind us, and there is a creek that borders the side of our property. When the river level is low, there is a rocky beach so your dogs can swim! Fully fenced yard in the country with rural views. Childs play place and lots of room to play, run, and fetch.

We have 4 connected neighborhood's with 5 ponds with gorgeous landscaping to walk around, including the small one across the street (on leash). Then you can set them free in our fenced yard & enjoy our Hammock, Deck or Patio when you are not playing with your fur baby(ies). We have shade, sun, lots of flowers, grass, mulch, flat ground, plus a hill & steps - your pup's choice to run on. Trash bins in back for doggy bags & a table with wifi password for you to use to get some work done while your fur buddy gets some sun or exercise. We do have our own little 9 lb.Chiweenie (@DinkyTheChiweenie on Instagram) when we are home but can either visit or not when you are here. He is scared of dogs over 12 lbs so we will likely just stay in while your bigger dog(s) visit 😉

It was an overgrown wooded lot, which has been recently cleared of invasives and other non-ideal shrubs and trees. Most of the lot is quite open, allowing for parking. The canopy of old growth trees provides shade in the summer months. The lot currently has no utilities. The only structure on the property is a camper used for storage of tools, supplies and paperwork. The current fenced in area is about 5k sq feet, though there is a lot of open space for possibly extending up to 15-25k. Garbage and recycling containers are located near the center of the property by the camper. The current investment plan for the property is to plant native fruit/nut trees, and fruiting shrubs for the spring of 2022.

The property has 4 fully fenced in areas. The pastures are home to horses, cows, sheep, goats and more! The livestock WILL BE MOVED before the dogs come. But they leave lots of good smells! You can choose which area you’d like to take your dogs. There are two larger 5 acre pastures(one has a large pond to swim and explore!), and three smaller areas. One will not be available at all times due to being used as a riding area. Depending on times, I might be riding the horses but it will be outside of the chosen fenced area.
