It’s a convenient location and a great price, but the yard needs a lot of very expensive work. Right now, it has big patches of dirt and weeds. Little dog paws might get scratched up and any dog’s mouth might get cut from small thorns sticking to tennis balls. A good covering of snow would help, but rain will just make conditions worse, I’m afraid. This might have resulted from a lot of dogs using the fragile grass.
Host replied: Hi Liz, I apologize for the poor experience! I hadn't intended for the spot to be available for booking while construction next door is impacting my yard, creating less than optimal conditions for guests. I'll happily refund your visit and will send you a private message to confirm. Thank you for the feedback!
Nice spot to run around, there were quite a few dog piles we had to avoid this time but we were able to get some good recall training and lots of fetch in during the hour. There’s a spot in the back a determined dog could jump out of, but we didn’t have any issues staying engaged. Thanks for hosting us!
Spacious!! Dogs had a great time
This spot is very quaint, in a quiet neighborhood, and parking is easy to find. The fencing is okay for bigger dogs or dogs with minimal escape risk but there are significant gaps under the fence some dogs could fit under. The space is big and there’s lot of room to run in but the ground is a bit uneven and there is random debris in some parts. (We have been having lots of wind as of late though so that may have blown in on its own.) My dog had lots of fun exploring and playing at this sniffspot but we did have to leave early because my dog cut her paw on something in the yard. It was a small injury I was able to treat at home. This sniffspot has lots of potential and we would likely visit again.
I had a great time with my dog Morgan. She is very reactive and isn't really comfortable in dog parks.

The yard is very long and pretty wide, too, and it’s perfect for playing frisbee with big dogs. The entrance is off an alley behind the yard (Simpson Ave), with a public parking lot right there. Very accessible. Dogs loved it.
Just a quick update to my last review: the largest gaps under the fence are now blocked. The smallest dogs could still get under at one or two points, but the majority of dogs would do very well here!
This nice, clean yard is in a peaceful area. There are several ground cover plants for exploration and which can make foraging interesting. Most SniffSpots around here cannot offer complete visibility blockage, but aside from one or two temporary holes in the fence, this one does! It's a great choice for dogs which struggle to react appropriately when they see other dogs. While the parking area for access is public, it is off-street and there are parking spots close to the gate. Getting in and out is easy. The host will offer parking at the front for guest dogs which need more isolated entry. The fence is listed as 4 feet at its lowest point, but that's only one small corner where a chunk of the blocks are missing. The rest of the fence is at a comfortable six feet. For the time being, very small dogs may get under the fence. Medium-size dogs could get under the gate. My 30-lb dog did! I have offered some spare landscaping blocks for the gate area, so that will no longer pose a challenge shortly. This is the sort of SniffSpot that my dog and I need for Lucky's mental well-being, and we are excited to return. Thank you!
