Draco had an absolute blast here! There was so much to sniff and check out that he spent the first 15 minutes just trotting around. When he was ready to play, there was so much space! The lawn was cut and looked lovely, and there was a hose and water bowl for us to use. There was also a shady spot under a tree that Draco made his home base to cool off. When I first booked, Joyce was transparent about the gate being wonky because of the humidity. She let me know ahead of time that it was closed with a bungee cord. I had to get creative with it when closing the gate because it was initially loose enough for my dog to push it open, but I was able to secure it easily enough and had no issues. The fencing is sturdy and seems very secure for bigger dogs. There are a few gaps that might be an issue for small dogs. My only suggestion for improvement for this spot would be to have a chair outside for dog owners. :) All in all, a great first Sniffspot experience and we will definitely be back!!
Lovely big yard! My dogs enjoyed running around and sniffing the yard. Will definitely be coming back as it warms back up.
Great yard for a Sniffspot! Plenty of room for my dogs to run around and explore! Successful spot when my chihuahua doesn’t find an escape hole :)
Host replied: Thank you. Will work on those holes

Hello and welcome to Howling Moon Private Dog Park! We are a family of 4 with 2 pups of our own that strives to make a great experience for you and your pup to enjoy time with nature! We are off road in a pasture, which makes for beautiful and serene landscape while letting your pup get some energy out! Fully fenced 1 acre with plenty of toys, shade and sitting areas, both you and your pups are sure to have a great time! For the pups, we have, water, tennis balls, rope pulls, Frisbee and large toy balls! For the humans we have benches on each side of the perimeter, a hammock chair in one corner, a full hammock under a tent in another corner, a swing bench up front and a picnic table with an umbrella in the center! In the storage bin is hand sanitizer, poo bags and band aids as well. Come out and get your steps in while taking in the scenery and watching your pup play with excitement! See you soon! *please note with it getting dark earlier, we do not currently have lights out there due to the logistics of it. We have several people that bring headlamps or flashlights, which we think is a great idea! As always, have fun and be safe! *to help reduce exposure to ticks for you and your pups, our pasture is kept short at all times.
I live on 4.5 acres and have about 1 acre fully fenced off. You and your pup or pups will be away from other houses and in the country. No city shenanigans. No other animals loose on the property and you have it all to yourself. I have a pup pool and it is K9 friendly, safe, and is 1 foot deep. Just added an automatic tennis ball launcher for the pups and available upon request. Entrance would be down road on Cedar Niles, then left into my driveway that is north of my external shop, and the drive leads you straight to my fenced off area (see map in the photo section). I have signage to guide you in. You can park outside of the 10-foot main gate and walk into my Sniff Spot. Or you can open the main gain, drive in, close the gate, and then let your pup or pups out. Property including entrance to fenced off area monitored and recorded by security cameras (They will alert me when you arrive and leave). As you can see with the pictures, I have a main open play area and then trails going through the thicker/overgrown grass. There is a 55g freshwater barrel and a drink tub for your pup right inside the entry and you can't miss it when you walk in. I have an umbrella set up to get you out of the sun (You can wind it up and down) and chairs to relax on while the pup or pups play. I have a TON of complimentary toys provided and LOTS of tennis balls for you pup or pups if you don’t have any (Please just put them all back). Dog poop baggies provided and at three different areas when you walk in. Trash bucket on-site to throw away dog poop and trash to keep the area clean. I have 150ft of patio lighting and an LED flood light around the main area of the Sniff Spot. The lights are bright and now you can book late evening into sundown, even night visits if you choose. I am in a profession where I can work nights and sleep during the day. My Sniff Spot is open 24/7 and I also cater to the day sleepers and night awake folks. You can book at 2:00am if you choose. The main area of the Sniff Spot is fully lit with the hung patio lights. Pictures are posted. Please clean up after yourself and leave everything as it was. This is very important for the next guests, my Sniff Spot stays VERY busy, and I at times I don't have time to inspect my SS before the next bookings. Don’t hesitate to contact to let me know anything to make your experience at my SS better! We moved back to the KC area last year and are in the process of turning our new home into a doggy wonderland. Our team of three runs a full time pet care company including doggy daycare, boarding, and drop in visits for all sorts of animal species. As pet care lovers and trainers, we understand the importance of having a private, secure space to work or be with your dog for whatever reason. Our nearly 3 acre backyard is fully fenced, at least our 5 lb chihuahua, daycare dogs, and dozens of sniffspotters have yet to find a way out. While we try our best to maintain our yard, sometimes the grass gets high or there are fallen branches. If grass length is a deal breaker, just ask! We'll let you know if it's gotten high or is freshly mowed. There is a detached garage with an old chicken coop with a hole in the door in the middle of the yard. We're aware the hole is there, we don't have immediate plans to fix it, and we don't mind if your dog wanders into it. The yard backs up to the highway. It can get a little loud, but it's pretty much white noise to us and our dogs. Aside from the highway, it's generally a quiet spot. There is a smaller fenced in area of the backyard we use for dog training. You can use that or the main yard. There's a large circle drive at the entrance of our property. You can either open the large double gate and park behind the fence or you can park by the fence and swing open the smaller gate to walk in. Near the carport is a shelf with poo bags, our business cards, grooming wipes, a grooming towel, dog water bowls, and usually some extra tennis balls. Let us know if anything is missing! There's a trash can by the carport, as well as a waste station halfway down the yard (trash can and additional poo bags) and another in our smaller fenced in area. There's a spigot by the carport and another at the RV port that can be used to fill water bowls or play with. We don't have lighting in the backyard, but can turn on the lights under the carport, should you ever desire. Feel free to move around chairs or table or use the swing. Note, this is our home and we're constantly working on our property. There are piles of firewood, wheelbarrows, and the occasional rake left out leaning against the shed.
Come enjoy these 15 acres of restored native prairie bursting with diversity and wildlife for humans and dogs alike! Your pooch will love to bound through the Bluestem and a Indian grass, sniff out wildlife and get out their wiggles. There is a mowed path along the treeline. Please remain West of the driveway. Parking immediately to the right after you pull thru the gate. Enjoy!!
3 acres of unfenced property surrounded by nature and both wild and domesticated animals. Please enter and park via the dirt drive on the west side of the property. Enjoy!!!
the sunsets/sunrises here are beautiful, this is the perfect bland of country attached to the city. there is a small trail built within the tree line, the trail is about a half mile long inside the trees, and the whole perimeter of the property is about a mile. the grass is tall right now. but if your dog like to run. this is the place. you can launch a ball or Frisby like never before, no trees. all grass. as time goes on the park will be improved as well with features for dogs and humans and a shop. currently the park is in its base form of just a wide-open field. Miles of trails have been cut through the tall grass for a walking experience if wanted, a big open area has been cut in the tall grass for fetch and open area dog activities. Also a wooded trail that goes around a portion of the property.
