Description

Welcome to Grandview Hill Pasture! Enjoy a rustic, private and picturesque setting at the site of a circa 1927 farm. This charming Sniffspot (formerly a turkey pasture) is a great option for small-to-intermediate/large-size dogs. No neighbours here; loud dogs and barkers are welcome. We are conveniently located in Grandview Heights, South Surrey. Winter on the farm is wet and soggy; expect mud and plan/dress accordingly! We suggest waterproof footwear for humans and an extra dog towel for your ride home. ☔️ ‼️IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD.‼️ 🆕➡️ Please bring your drinking water starting December 01. Our portable dispenser will return in the spring when the risk of freezing passes. Important updates are likely as we navigate our first fall/winter season. Please check for changes before booking and arrival. 📲 Instagram: @sniffspot_grandviewhill 📲 Facebook: Grandview Hill Pasture ➡️ Weekend Cancellations: If you need to cancel/reschedule please do so ASAP. Daylight hours are short; other dogs would love to rebook your spot if you can’t make it - 2 hours' notice means they can't.

Additional rules

⚠️ Please use caution and respect traffic when entering/exiting the farm. 🅿️ Drive VERY slowly/gently on the pasture grass; park in the marked parking area (not under the tree). 🐕 Dogs must stay leashed to/from the fenced Sniffspot area. 👥 Maximum of 2 adult humans per dog, up to a limit of 6 people. 🚙 3 guest vehicles max. ✅ Please add any extra non-household people/dogs to your reservation. ⏰ Please follow the SniffSpot “don’t arrive early and depart on time” rule. We have very little time between bookings and many visiting dogs are reactive. We cannot risk any encounters in the parking area for safety reasons. ➡️🆕 🚫 Digging holes 🚫 We've had some issues with craters lately; please don’t let your dog dig up the pasture. If your dog digs before you are able to redirect them, please see the rake beside the gate. Rooting around in the “dip” is ok!

Such a cute spot with lots to sniff and thoughtful touches like water and dog cookies! Will definitely book again!

My new favourite spot! Beautiful farm, enclosed area with empty chicken/bunny coops to explore and crates to use for training. Well kept, muddy for the season (which makes it more fun!), and peaceful. Thank you so much Shawn!

Amazing place and lots of very cute little attentions. We will come back

I have a reactive dog so finding quiet spaces to play can be a bit difficult, everything about this location has been thought out and I appreciate it. The location wasn’t too hard to find (make sure to slow down a bit and you won’t miss it) and the instructions were clear. The personalized parking sign was cute. Dobby had so much fun in the mud (wasn’t too keen on his bath afterwards) and we’ll definitely be coming back again!

Perfect for my reactive pup! She did so many zoomies - its been so long that she's been able to run in an open space. Very well kept! Would recommend to others.

An amazing place- will be visiting again and recommending to everyone!! It was completely trigger free and my reactive dog was able to play/sniff around stress-free. We were also gifted a cute surprise goodie bag as well, the hosts are super nice and we’re so grateful for the experience!😊

Great spot. They had a welcome sign with our dogs name, treats, and water. Our two dogs had a great time and loved this area. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Host replied: Thanks so much for visiting us! It looks like those two had a blast! :)

WEATHER ALERT: If you are checking the weather online check the Ferndale (98248) weather. The Bellingham weather stops at the Smith Road. My prevailing wind is from the South BUT I do get the cold NE wind from Canada. NOTE: I have a new young dog who is still learning about socialization and is a bit on the vocal side. I apologize if this is a problem for your dogs. I will try to keep her under control. This is an acreage area which formerly held dog events; barn hunt, earth dog, carting, rally, obedience, tracking and nose work. The off leash area was set up for the dogs to have a place to run and play safely away from the other dogs when not working. This is all sandy loam so no standing water even when it rains. There is a water faucet down by the smaller barn (west side). You are welcome to fill your dog's bowls. Just be sure you turn the water off after. I have put some folding chairs just inside the big door of the barn. You are welcome to use them. I have also put a shovel out there so you can fill in any holes your dog digs. It is important you put balls back in the crate, they do not do well under the mower (the mower doesn't like it either. Please fill in any large holes your dog digs, so my mower doesn't bog down in one. The garden is done for this year so if you want a bit more room to run your dogs, you may close the 2 big gates and let your dog run in the "parking area". It is all fully fenced. Be aware, the big gate into the back pasture does have a gap under it. THE BACK PASTURE IS OFF LIMITS THERE IS LIVESTOCK BACK THERE! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG EVEN IN THE BIG AREA. THANK YOU!!!
