55This was such a fun spot for my scent oriented dogs! So many adorable touches for us "parents'! My big dogs love to run and sniff, and there were great smells too go with the space to run. Even our little girl enjoyed herself.
55With 5 small dogs this is a great place to take them and feel safe. The fencing is enough to keep them in. And there is enough space and intriguing things for them to sniff and explore.
55Very nice and clean area! My dog loved it! Yard had two separate gated areas which was great. The chicken enclosure is in the back gated area, so it was nice having a different gated area to take my dog, since she found the chickens a little too interesting! Water and toys available! Will definitely be back!
55this spot is always a fabulous adventure !!
55Very thoughtfully stocked with anything you might want during your stay! Our ACD's favorite games are hide & seek and "herd my people back together"; the lattice of forest paths worked really nicely for both games and he was delightfully worn out by the end of our hour. The fences are tall and in good condition. The inside play hut and zoomies den would be so super nice during rainy or chilly weather.
55It was great! Loved that they had toys, lots of water, poop bags, and place to roam! I loved the amenities as well and thought the gift the host left was a nice sweet touch and made us feel very welcome. My pup Suki had a great time and played some ball, did some jumps, and enjoyed seeing the chickens! She likes to wander so I was able to confidently sit down and enjoy a coffee in the shade on the swinging bench while she sniffed around.
55This was just what our family needed. Not only was this place clean, peaceful, and had different areas that will appeal to your pup. It was a great family bonding time. We were really happy with the attention to detail. They have a coffee/tea area. Plenty of water areas and gnomes to find. I appreciate being a disabled veteran. There is plenty of seating throughout the area to choose from.
55This was our first time and it went really well. My dogs enjoyed hanging out in the back wooded area, chasing sticks and just exploring. We will for sure be back! Thank you!
55Nicole is a great host! The spot is so wonderful. Nicole did a quick initial orientation so we knew what to expect. The den was great with all the amenities. Thank you for setting up the nose work. Our dogs had a great time. We appreciate all your time in the set up. This is a great place to come and let your dogs roam and sniff. I had an opportunity to see how my Aussie would react to chickens-an evaluation time and training time. The multiple water stations, bag dispensers and disposal bin were well placed. So peaceful. Thank you Nicole.
55Respectful, great amenities

The arena can be fully enclosed for those rainy days or open the slider into the fully fenced 1/4 acre grass dog Zoomy Pen🐶 The fully enclosed grass “Zoomie Pen”is perfect for zoomie time, puppies and dogs in training, some toy fun, or for dogs without good recall. Just outside the Zoomy Pen is our large play field giving lots of room for Chuckit tossing☄️parkour on the logs or some nose work fun and mind stimulation. The large playfield connects to the backwoods🌲so 🐾Venture out to the 1.5 acre wooded area providing a cool shaded area of trails for more sniffing, wildlife spotting and occasional llamas from the neighboring back pasture🦙 For an even greater experience, we offer some add ons that are sure to enhance your dog’s stimuli and go home tired from all the fun! ———————————————- **New guests use promo code SUMMIT5 for $5 off your first visit.

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Blackberry bushes throughout the far east side of the fencing of the backwoods area. The field has dips and slight incline. When in the backwoods, watch your footing in the grassy area due to mole mounds, dips and potential tripping on blackberry vines in the trails. We are working tirelessly to clear the blackberries from the wooded area and made more walking trails but still working on the area whenever we can. **Closed shoes or hikers are strongly advised.**

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. A garbage container for poo bags is available at the top driveway as you exit under the Big Leaf Maple tree on the right in the large gray bin marked "Garbage". We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries!
