35This was my first SniffSpot reservation, and I was a little apprehensive. There were no entrance instructions on the app, so I checked with the host. They were unaware of my reservation (I had made it earlier today and sent them a message checking to see if a late-notice booking was okay, I didn’t hear back from them). They told me that they were unaware that the listing had gone live, and that the space wasn’t ready yet, but were very gracious and warm hosts. I did let my dog sniff around, but I didn’t let him off the leash, as this space is not fully enclosed. One side opens up to the driveway (which leads right to the street) and the other side has a standard door-sized hole in the fence. The space is not mowed, and the grass is very long, but I am an attentive dog owner, so I let him run, and chase tennis balls, but I kept his leash on him. I’m glad I did, as he had escaped through the driveway and I had to chase him into a neighbor’s backyard. I left my hour-long appointment at the 30 minute mark. I would love this space to be an option to take my dog as it is so close to home, but I would the space needs to be fenced-in, or the listing needs to be updated.

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new chain link fence (Fall 2022), the pups are free to roam and run to their hearts delight. And, wow… it sure is fun to watch them go!! The areas along the edges of the yard are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central area of the yard has a slight hill and is mostly open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! Come mid-May, the pool will be opened. While it’ll likely be too chilly for humans (and even some pups), many dogs will find great pleasure in retrieving their ball or simply going for a dip in the pool. Shortly thereafter, the furniture, gazebo, hammock, kiddie pool and a whole bunch more will be out for ALL to enjoy as we welcome summertime!! Yea As an added benefit, as listed in the additional charges, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY.
