My younger dog, who is a lab mix, loved the pond and especially jumping off the dock. We took my older dog on a couple of loops on the horse trail. The zip line was fun for the humans.
Such an awesome spot and we will be back! Be aware that your pup needs to have recall in case they will go after a horse since some may be nearby (over the fence) has both sandy beach, large pond with a dock and a green lawn to run around near the pond! The pond may look small, but trust me even a Great Dane would be able to swim there!! We spotted a Golden Retriever and a Doodle that were fenced in near the house, so if your dog is particular about seeing other dogs in their eyesight I’d recommend taking to the host of this spot and parking further down to avoid seeing them (they both were barking)
Nice quiet spot with a pond, shade and easy walking.
My dog enjoyed it, but the actual sniff spot portion was not 5 acres as advertised. There was hardly any fencing to keep my dog away from the horses, so I couldn't let my dog off lead to explore a much as he wanted.
It's peaceful and a lovely property. We didn't go swimming but we enjoyed walking around and watching the horses :)
Really great spot. Layla my pup loved it she zoomed all over the place at top speed. Pond is a nice touch. It was a very relaxing and I will definitely go back again.
Our two dogs had a terrific time going in and out of the pond. Jennifer was great, meeting us to lead us back through their barn area to the dog area. She even set up a portable canopy for us humans since it was real rainy. Our dogs have strong recalls, but still went into the horse area while zooming around. They went right under the electric wire without contact; luckily the horses were in their paddocks. The running area is around the pond and then a long strip back up the side of the pasture.
Jennifer’s property was lovely and just as described. Definitely a spot for dogs with great recall, which mine did not have during our visit, so I really appreciated Jennifer’s patience and support with our group of 4 dogs.
I brought Buddy for one of two sniffspots for his 12th birthday and he loved doing his "swimmuns". It's great for an older guy that he can get in and out without having to climb steep banks. The horses were fun to watch for both of us. I can't wait to go back when it's warmer out and can let him swim a bit longer. Lovely place.
So nice to have somewhere for my dogs to swim that I don’t have to drive into the mountains for or risk going to a dog park. There wasn’t a horse in the area right by the pond but my dogs did run under the electric fence into it a few times but came right back out. If there is a horse in there and your dogs don’t have a solid recall you might want to leave a long line on them. Because of the lack of rain the pond was more like a swamp (which we were told about but didn’t mind). Jennifer was kind enough to let us hose off the stinky muddy pups before we left but they definitely needed a bath when we got home. All worth it for some great fetching and swimming time!
