55This is a wonderful place to visit, and the bonus is that you get to see goats! Grace, the host is amazing! So welcoming! Quiet and peaceful! I'm definitely going back.
55This is quite possibly the best sniff spot imaginable !! It’s basically a personal private hiking trail/loop where your dogs sniffing dreams will come true you, as they did for my dog. The owner meets you on your first visit to make sure you know where to go and is very welcoming! It’s the perfect size, so many trees, so many things to smell and see and paths for care free trotting. And the icing and the cake at the beginning and the end of it is the creek for your dog to get tromp through a shallow relieving oath of water (of which my boi was enthralled with). Thank you so much!
55Was a great adventure for myself and the puppers! Very peaceful and beautiful.
55Amazing spot to take the dogs and just run!!! Dogs had a blast.
55Hills, forest, water…a sniffing paradise. Ability to walk some incline needed. Rupert and Penelope hit all the areas. One area that had potential for some dogs to go under or over fence if on sniff prowl. Garbage can and poop bags provided. Good amount of shade provided from tree canopy. With trees come bugs, so be prepared. Welcome sign to let us know we were at the right place. First area not sniff spot, but gives a nice border to sniff entrance and allowed small walk for cool down afterwards. Very excited to come back!
55Loved our hike in the mini forest! Grace was a delightful host and our pups thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
55This place is dog heaven! Our dog had so much fun. Great amenities, well fenced, and clean. We will be back!
55Love love love this place! Best location and so worth the hour drive!
55Simply awesome
55We ended up booking last minute and was only able to get a 7am slot, we live in the city so it was about an hr drive to get here, BUT it WAS WORTH IT! I have a select reactive dog & our friends who came with us have a new pup that can’t be off leash quite yet (her long line worked perfectly & she felt safe being able to drop it so her pup could run around). This spot was huge for 3 med size pups, lots of room to run & play (Grace also had a few toys at the entrance to use too!), lots of sniffing & creek for them to swim in! There was also a mini obstacle course set up in one area. There were trash cans placed around the different sections to throw poo away & there’s actually mini cabins you can rent for a Hipcamp stay! Which we would definitely book sometime. This spot was great because it really is a private mini trail/campsite & our pups had a great time! We encountered 1 wrinkle at the end but at NO fault to Grace- her neighbors small dog was able to fit under or through the wired fence. We noticed dogs outside when we arrived but the fence goes around the entire area dividing the neighbors property & the sniffspot. Heading back, we still had about 20mins left on our time & we noticed a dog on our side of the creek barking & trying to approaching us. I did have to call out to the neighbor (who unfortunately wasn’t very nice) to come get their dog since we had reactive dogs & theirs clearly didn’t have recall as it kept barking trying to get to us. All n all It didn’t derail our visit & we will 100% be returning because Grace was a great host, she even wrote our names on the welcome board when we arrived & left us treats when we left! The space itself was equally wonderful, a mini camping/hiking oasis that’s kept up for people to enjoy! Thank you Grace for hosting us it was well worth the journey to visit you & look forward to visiting again!

Description

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, check out Sniffpass. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you have older dog/s and would like to drive below the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or Search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/washington-grace-e-s-mini-forest-ex9hrrp8?shareid=1ddvuyvr3yh Saturdays are usually blocked if there's Hipcamp bookings. But I would unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest..'

Cleanliness

Hazards

Wear hiking boots, rain or dirty boots. Bear in mind that you’re in the country out in the woods, we have goats & when it rains watch out for muddy areas. Depending on the time of the day and season, bugs may be present, so please bring bug spray. When it gets windy, watch out for falling branches, limbs and twigs from old trees. There is also a section where we stack metal piles to be disposed off later, please pardon that eyesore. Occasionally, again, since you're in the country, by the mountains, our neighbor would once in a while do target practice or do some annoyingly loud shooting towards the DNR, you might also hear fireworks, even logging noise at times. :(

Bison and Peaches, my 2 English Shepherds along with hubby, Brian & myself enjoy hiking up our little hill, mini forest out back & sometimes with our goats. They’ll all be locked up when you come visit so don’t worry. I found out about Sniffspot through Facebook. I saw a video of a couple talking about Sniffspot & I said... oh, i like that idea! So here I am doing the same thing & so far loving it. I love it especially when I see the faces of the parents & their 4 legged babies after the visit, tired, maybe dirty, but happy!
