55This was a great spot! It was very nice and quiet, and easy to find. There were chairs and toys, and the host provided some homemade treats and bottled waters!
55Corinne was an excellent host, and our dogs had a wonderful time. The area is securely fenced and large. There was water available in multiple places. Plenty of spots for humans to sit and chat, and a trash can for easy poop disposal. Our eight greyhounds (and their humans) had a wonderful time!
55Beautiful spot! Wonderful hist provided homemade dog treats, my pups had so much fun!!
55The hosts were lovely! Left treats for pups and water for humans! Gorgeous area and the dogs were exhausted when we got home!
55Super friendly hosts, clear directions and a beautiful property. Our dog had a blast but our kids might have had even more fun. :) We will be back for sure!
55My pups absolutely loved it here!! We will definitely be coming back.
55Great location. Corrinne is very friendly and made us feel welcome. Property is beautiful and well thought out for a fun visit. We will be back!!!
55We are returning guests of Corinne and Barkley Park! It is our absolute favorite! My little Whippet gets so tired out zooming and doing her sniffies! The Barkley Park is always immaculate and pristine! We also purchased a gorgeous European and Organic Sourdough loaf from Corinne on this visit, as my Mom was visiting for the weekend. They’re HUGE! We nourished us all weekend long between adventures. Corinne also made little Naia a bag of pup treats to go with our loaf! So thoughtful and so kind. This is the hospitality you can expect here. I have another family visit in June with two standard poodles visiting and we are going to book a morning of human and pup time here! Thanks Barkley Park!
55Great place to explore. Host is so friendly and has thought of everything. ( seating, water, treats, toys)

Description

Enjoy our quiet rural setting on our 5+ acres with our fully fenced 1 acre play area for your dogs. Our beautiful very scenic Barkley Park sits on over 5 acres, just 3 miles from Old Town Lake Stevens. A little over an acre is securely and newly fenced for your dogs to free run for safe exercise. Our large acreage is open for you to explore and walk as well. Enjoy different places to sit and take in the landscape and open spaces of nature while your dogs gets to play and safe exercise. A lovely place for a picnic. Our park has both sunny areas, and shady areas at all times of the day. Fetch on a few different long, and large lawns that are non fenced that are for Zone Fetching off leash, for those that are in full control of the friendly dogs. We are off the road and a safe quiet private property. No mud ever, all of our property drains properly and is well maintained. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, very safe exercise, just watch your footing. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. If interested in professional pet photography. Inquire with us for details. Portrait sessions are offered on our location. As well as European Organic Wild Antique Sourdough and artisan bread loaves. Organic Dog treats of the same recipe are available to purchase. Some weekends we have a bakery table of Organic European Sourdough loaves, baguettes, fresh scones, cookies, picnic lunch sandwiches, and of course pup treats. A message in as advanced and we can have yours ready. Just give us a heads up if you would like to indulge and custom order a lunch. You may often see myself, my husband and my mother enjoying the house yard, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our homes. An occasional family member might stop by our house unannounced, and deliveries might occur. We live above a farm who takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. We also have 2 very large friendly cats. Please be careful with your dogs if you see an occasional cat. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Enjoy! I keep Barkley Park pictures and happenings on my Facebook page. Please follow us.🐾 Search fb - Corinne Alavekios

I’m a commissioned professional photographer and artist of 25 years. I enjoy creating, printmaking, painting, making artisan breads, European cuisine. It’s a beautiful countryside living lifestyle on my childhood farm on the Schwarzmiller Road in rural Lake Stevens. Our acreage rests on a hill above the large fields of our river valley. My husband, myself, and our Golden Retriever Hubbell, keep busy maintaining our 5 plus acres of lawns and gardens. Enjoying our outdoor studio park. Our view is amazing of the valley, river and Cascade mountains.

Our property is located off the Burn Road in Arlington and is 5 acres, 1 of which is fully fenced and there are about 3+ acres of woods that have a trails throughout that we are constantly trying to add onto. Access to the backyard will be through the double gates on the south side of the house. Access to the trails can be either gate along the back fence. We just ask that you close whichever gate you use upon entrance and exit. The trails currently are just shy of 1/4 of mile looping back to the gates of the fenced in backyard. We do have a seasonal pond in the woods that we plan on trying to expand access too (it’s a work in progress). The fence is 3.5 feet high split rail with chain link very secure, the back portion of fencing is strictly chain link same height but acts as a natural looking wild fence. Dogs can play ball, sniff around, and run off lease in the fenced yard. Dogs with good recall can be off leash on the trails and run throughout. We do have neighbors where our woods end that are mostly fenced but some do not have fencing (which is why recall is needed). There is no delineation between the neighbor to the north’s huge pasture area which would be off limits. Please enjoy yourself and let us know if you have any ideas to add to the property. The pictures were taken during the winter months, the property and trails are so much prettier during the spring through fall months. Thank you for stopping by.k

Hike up the mini forest

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, I offer membership. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you are a member of my sniffspot, or have older dog/s and would like to drive below or up the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Our facility has a fenced off-leash Dog Park with Agility Equipment with unfenced on-leash grassy potty area just outside. Our agility course is complete with multiple single jumps, A-frame, dog walk, tunnel, teeter and weave poles. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options.
