Description

Welcome to Koda and I's personal paradise, featuring several horses and a donkey! Stop by and visit us as a side quest so you can relax and enjoy the view in a peaceful, quiet countryside setting both you and your dog(s) will enjoy! Choose to either kick back and let your dog go full steam ahead in the .5 acre, four foot, fully fenced pup play yard, which has been vetted by dogs small and large, puppies and seniors, and both high energy and couch potatoes alike, or do some on leash training or long lead play in the accompanying open field next to the enclosed yard. Our yard has been tested (and approved) by Pomeranians, Yorkies, Beagles, Pitties, Whippets, and all of our Sniffspot visitors, and it's even horse proof! Natural grass fills the property, with only the occasional use of weed killer along fencelines to keep up with property maintenance and stay on top of bugs. There are several huge shade trees that my pup and his friends enjoy laying under. If you are looking to desensitize your pup to horses, reach out and I may be able to arrange turn out so they can get up close and personal, while maintaining the barrier of the fence. But otherwise, the Spot and the horse pastures are completely separate from each other, giving you and your pups a chance to admire from a distance! We look forward to sharing our slice of heaven with you!

Please be aware of your dogs interacting with various plants and landscaping as consumption of certain plants could be harmful to dogs and people alike. We have never had issues with our pets or visitor's pets, but cannot guarantee the same for your pet if they're prone to eating anything and everything in sight. To prevent any issues, ensure you're keeping an eye on your pet. Landscape and garden fencing may be installed in the future. While there has never been issues in the past, this serves as a disclaimer for the safety of you and your pet(s): Horses and livestock are generally dangerous animals. Various fencing, barriers, land, and enclosures separate the designated dog areas from the equine areas. Unless otherwise discussed, horses will be enclosed in pastures that do not allow them to approach the Spot. To prevent any issues, ensure your dog(s) are leashed at all times when not in the enclosed Spot, and before setting your dog(s) loose, scan the perimeter to ensure the Spot's 3 gates are closed. The farm has a "gate closed" policy and it is most likely all gates will be closed, but this cannot be guaranteed 100% with people in and out. In the event rules regarding livestock and horses are not followed, we cannot guarantee the safety of you or your dog(s) if you or your dog(s) come into direct contact with any of the livestock on the premises (i.e. unleashed outside of enclosed Spot, gates not closed properly, approaching livestock without prior express permission, entering livestock pastures/areas outside of Spot).

-My dog and I will likely be at the farm (inside the house) during your visit, but will always give you your space during your time at the farm. If you'd like to meet or chat, feel free to let me know and I'm happy to pop out if I'm around and available. -Please do not feed, touch, or interact with any of the animals on the property or neighboring properties that do not belong to you. Please also prevent your pup from antagonizing or approaching the livestock, as we aim to keep it a safe and stress-free environment for all animals on the premises and livestock can be inherently dangerous creatures. *(Unless otherwise discussed, there will be ample barriers between livestock spaces and the Spot, so the above latter statement is only applicable if livestock/leash rules aren't followed and you or your pet(s) come in direct contact with livestock outside of designated Spot areas)* -Please keep children with you at all times. -Please use the provided scoop or bags to clean up after your pups and dispose of it in the trash bin off the house near the water access and AC unit. - Close any and all gates connected to the spot upon exit and arrival, and do not enter or exit any gates not directly connected to the Spot. - Before leaving, please clean any bowls and return any toys to their appropriate locations before leaving. - If you use the hose to provide water to your dog, or for any other reason, please ensure to turn it off. - Visitors and pets should only access and enter the identified areas, including parking areas, the enclosed yard, and the field next to it (leashed only), which is between the gravel drive and the enclosed yard.

Doggie cot on back patio to relax a minute and feel free to enjoy the shaded back deck. We are in a very quiet neighborhood, and the backyard provides a peaceful feel. We do have a 42lb black lab mix that would stay with me inside during your stay (my office is upstairs and would be fully away from contact during your visit, (unless 1:1 dog interaction is desired- please just specify preference).
