Description

This is a beautiful spot for dogs. There is a quiet road running along one edge of the property, but the woods around the property are the real draw. Lots of natural space to explore. When it rains, there is a stream that runs through. There are many paths cut through the woods for your dog to explore. The borders of the property are well marked by orange ribbons except for the road frontage. .

HOST NOTE

Some spots are sometimes muddy, so watch your step. The trails are clear, but you and your dog are welcome to go off the path into the woods. Vines, roots, and other walking hazards may be present. The property inclines gently towards an intermittent creek that runs along the middle of the property.

Beautiful isolated 13-acre spot in the country. There is a clear, well-maintained marked trail through the woods to an area with springs, a stream, and a watershed. Moving on down the 1/4 mile driveway past the house is a path down to the Tye River that has a nice-sized riverbank (beach) for romping and water splashing. Swimming dogs can venture onto the rocks to explore the river. Those who want to exercise can hike up/down the stream, climb big rocks, and climb other obstacles. This highly wooded area has lots to explore “off path” and on path, so you can never experience everything in one visit. This is heaven for dogs and for those who prefer a challenging exploration vs a standard field or yard to explore. The walk to the stream/springs/watershed is a beautiful, relatively easy walk. The river walk, while there is a trail, is pretty steep and rocky, and it's a good workout to get back up. The river walk is a good workout if you’re interested in getting into shape! You can also choose the path to the watershed, which is much easier. Join us at Bear’s Creek for an adventure your dog will thank you for! Rules for the river: Low tide, all are welcome. High tide, swimmers only, or dogs with excellent recall. Raging River, closed to all. If you're most interested in the river and you know we have had a lot of rain, you can message me prior to booking for river status. If you don’t message me and the river is closed, you will receive a notification.
