55Gorgeous property and perfect getaway for your pooch
55Gorgeous gorgeous land!
55This was a great place to visit, very beautiful. Sniffspot said I should contact Landon since the spot had not been used for a while. I messaged Landon through the app and provided my phone number, but was not contacted back. However, I booked our visit 2 hrs in advance, so not a lot of time to get back to me before our scheduled visit. My husband and I decided to drive there anyway. We figured it would be a pleasant drive (55 min) if nothing else. When we arrived, there was a closed gate that required a keypad code. This was never provided in my reservation reply. We decided to pull our car to the side and walked under the fence and went for a stroll anyway. The owner (presumably Landon's relative) approached us. We explained we made a Sniffspot reservation. She was very inviting and super friendly and gave us more information about the property. In addition to being a Sniffspot, it is a campground for dry camping. There are about 8 partially tame mustangs that roam the property. The property was big enough that we never made it to the boundary to see the fence. Because this is an open area with wildlife, there is random piles of elk and horse droppings, but not a problem for us. My husband and I liked it so much that we plan to return next summer to dry camp.
55Enjoyed a great afternoon at Landon’s ranch.
55It’s a great location, the snow was to thick to access the site on the day that I visited, planning to go back soon.
15Difficult to navigate. We were unsure if we were even at the right location. Found ourselves in the middle RV parking. Saw some hunters. Nothing marked. Wasn't for us, we left. Host replied a couple hours after we left a message re: being lost on the property and verification we were on the correct property.
45Beautiful scenery and what seems like endless miles to roam. This property also appears to be a by reservation campground. Having never been there before we have no idea where the dog park ends or starts. Signs are hand written and hard to read. We wound up just going to the pond area and kept our dogs on the leash. I would gladly go again and my only request would be to have a dog area where you start and the graduate to the 160 acres.
55This is a great find in Angel Fire NM. Easy to get to and off the main road. The spot is an absolutely huge and gorgeous parcel with stunning views and mostly in its natural state with plenty to sniff and discover. The trees provide plenty of shade, and there are developed areas for dry camping that had a cooler of fresh water. The only gap on the fence I saw (I did not walk the whole perimeter !) was at the entrance gate as the gate is crafted from open metal tubing they most dogs could fit through. However just drive far back into the property and you wont have to worry about this. If your dog is a roamer this place is for you ! I’ll come again and probably book a couple of hours and bring a picnic and camp chair next time. It’s a very relaxing and gorgeous property. It was also perfectly clean of dog poop.

Description

Our entire ranch is our sniffspot. Feel free to come through the gate, shut it so the horses don't get out, and come on up the hill. To the right you will see "Fire & Ice" this is our ice skating rink and fore pits for the winter. This is a great area to base camp while you and your puppy explore. While you are here, feel free to sniff around anywhere with the exception of the buildings, or any of the campsites which may have a camper with us here at Enchanted Circle Campground. We are the number 1 Campground in NM 3 years in a row, so we ask that you leave those guests to their privacy, and they will do the same for you. Check us out on Hipcamp.com if you are curious about the Campground. For the sniffspots you are able to explore the trails, the lakes, the ponds, or anywhere else your tail may take you. Enjoy your time. Call us if you need anything. Have a great time and see you soon. There are also tennis balls at the games area with the swings for the puppies. Help yourself. Please leave them for other puppies to play too.
