Description

Quarter Acre in beautiful Central Camarillo! We are walking distance from shops and restaurants. We have one friendly Australian Shepherd who can be kept in the house if you don’t want her out. Lots of room for your pup to run around and play. Pick an orange or lemon off the orange tree and sit under the pergola. We also have a hot tub and fire pit. We have WiFi too. We have another gazebo with a TV. Once you get done playing in our yard, you and your pet can walk over to Starbucks or Coffee Bean, both of which are pet friendly! There is a pet store in walking distance both directions from our house. Our neighbors behind us do have dogs. Sometimes they bark at strangers, but we have a tall wooden fence in between us. We can’t wait to have you visit!

HOST NOTE

Try not to walk directly under the orange tree because it can scratch your head. There are some dried thorns by where we took out the bougainvillea bush. There’s a sign out there in that area. It has never harmed our dog. I shredded/mulched the thorns with the mower and other garden tools.

Hi! Please no smoking cigarettes right by the house doors. Pls pick up cigarette butts and put in trash. Cannabis and vapes are OK. Better to smoke out by the fire pit. Keep music and phone calls to a reasonable level. Please do not push a lot of random buttons on the spa if you use it. That will shut it off. Pls no dogs in the spa. Only humans. Extinguish any fires you might start in fire pit, or turn off the propane on the other fire pit. Lock gate when you depart if it was locked before. The outdoor TV is in the “front” gazebo across from front door. Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Vons, Sprouts, & McDonalds are walking distance from the house. Bathroom is only available if we are home. Otherwise please use one of those places. Our neighbor behind us has 2 Australian Shepherds, and sometimes they do bark at strangers. We cannot control that aspect. It is a 6ft wooden fence between us, but sometimes they bark. We have bark controllers on the fence that blow a dog whistle if they bark. We are smack dab in the center of the city, so we can’t avoid the sound of neighbor’s pets or people walking their pets down the block. Sorry. Please keep pet leashed until you’re inside the yard to protect our neighbors who like to walk their dogs on the main sidewalk or any roaming cats. We generally don’t meet guests unless they want to meet because we don’t want to get bitten by a dog. Thanks!

I’m a military retiree and singer. My husband is a professional guitarist. He has played with some of the greats. We are home sometimes when we are not at a gig. We have 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I am from Kansas and JD is from Ventura. We have one Australian Shepherd named Juno. She is 4 years old and friendly but a little hyper. Trying to break her of it. She has come a long way since we rescued her. She loves other dogs. I love to engrave on my laser, so don’t be surprised if you see random engraved trinkets with your dogs name on them left for you. Sometimes we babysit the little grandkids (Mon & Thurs 9:30 until 3:30), so we can’t always make it 100% quiet in the house, but we will try.

All Dogs Rule! Puppy Paradise

We have a beautiful secluded property on the Sespe Creek in Fillmore. We have acres of orange trees and two fully fenced areas. One is a fenced 100 x 200' sand arena with access to water and shade. In this arena there may be a small amount of sheep droppings if we have been training the dogs for sheep herding. There is a second arena that is 80 x 120' with agility equipment and the sheep don't go in that area. Dogs can play off leash and stretch their legs in either area. Please do not move the agility equipment around. You are also welcome to make your way down to the creek and let your pup swim and play. Outside of the fenced arena you are welcome to wander in our orange orchard at the bottom 1/2 of our property but please don't approach any residences or allow your dog to bother the livestock. There are sheep in a fenced area and Tank, our livestock guardian dog, lives with them. *Please note - The sand is pretty soft and dogs love to dig in it. They are welcome to dig but please fill in any holes they dig (it’s as easy as dragging the sand back into the hole with your foot) because they create a tripping hazard for other dogs and people.
