We love taking our dogs to play and run there. Very nice place and lovely people.
Safe and secure area to let the dogs loose and burn off some energy. Lots of variety for practice going over, under, through, and up.
Easy parking, lots of toys, completely escape proof :) Some many training opportunities!!
We had so much fun! My dog was exhausted after 45 minutes lol. Great place! Lots of toys! Owner was super quick to answer my questions!
Great spot. Plenty of room for the dogs to run and stuff for the dogs to explore. Plus everything to make hanging out there easy - chairs, garbage can, water, fully fenced, shelter, etc… Host was great and very responsive.
Fantastic, safe and secure spot to bring your canine pal. We brought our young dog here and it was such an enriching hour. Will definitely be back!
Nice open space with toys and obstacles. The horses nearby are good exposure for our dogs.
Really wonderful space. Lots of toys and equipment. Vanessa came out to say a quick hi since it was our first visit but was very respectful of our time and space. I brought some high value treats and did some training with the horses, my dog only barked at them a little bit thankfully!
My dogs loved the facility and paid no attention to the horse and pony in adjacent paddock, fortunately. A group of dogs were let into the home’s backyard, definitely within sight and hearing. If I had been ready I would have been able to use that as a training moment. I would like to give it another chance as it appears to be a really great space!
Host replied: Hi Nancy, Thank you for the compliment to the space. We love it too. As per the dogs in the yard, I’d like to reply in detail as this may be helpful information for future visitors too 😊 We do not intentionally let dogs out when we have guests, particularly first time visitors. Our farm property is also our on site business, The Crate Escape. We host a variety of boarding dogs and we have a dog door for our pets to enjoy our backyard, separated from the Dog Den by 20feet. No shared fences. When we are home, we allow our dogs free access to our yard, one of the luxuries dogs get while staying here. If our dogs are disruptive to our guests, they are brought in so you can enjoy a peaceful visit. Once your dogs are used to the environment, we do continue to use our personal backyard as it is completely separate from The Dog Den space, as long as our dogs are quiet and respectful on our side of the fence. We will never allow our dogs to bark at or antagonize guests. Unfortunately your first visit just happened to land on an early Sunday morning. And coincided with our dogs morning bathroom routine. Our dogs were brought in immediately so you could enjoy your visit. You will always have the Dog Den 100% to yourself as per SniffSpot policies but seeing and hearing other dogs is a possibility. We hope you enjoy your next visit.
Easy to use, perfect spot
Hi there! I am Vanessa, the owner and behaviourist at The Crate Escape. I’ve been training professionally for 10 years and in the last few years, I’ve shifted my focus to helping people with reactive/aggressive dogsAfter seeing so many dog park fights and how negatively a public park incident can affect your dog, I have been encouraging people to find an alternative for years. And I am so happy to finally be able to provide a safe place for you and your dog to exercise and play!Whether your dog struggles with dog-dog interactions or not, all are welcome at the Dog Den!
