Host was awesome! The location had such great features, many segmented sections, lots of space for the dogs, water bowls easily accessible and toys! Also many spots of shade for yourself or your pup to cool off in for a second. Will definitely be back!
So much area for the pup to explore and some fun with the other animals too!
Yard was just as described and allowed the pups to run and use up lots of energy. They had fun romping and playing. They especially enjoyed running the fence with the friendly neighbor dogs.
What a great place! I brought my two Aussies here to play and train - very peaceful place out in the countryside. Serena the host was very nice and showed us around the various areas. Everything is fenced and safe, and a chance to for exposure to penned livestock (goats, a horse and chickens). We will be back for sure!
This Sniffspot was the highlight of our weekend. The host, Serena, was a joy. She was so welcoming and friendly, and she took the time to get to know us and our dog, Friday. There was tons of room for Friday to run around, toys, a baby pool, and some animals for him to watch through the fence. He’s still pooped today after all of the excitement of yesterday!
This was Wonderful! Our two dogs loved it here! They had a great time running around, sniffing through the yard, looking at the horse - they were very, very happy. Serena is a fantastic host and such a pleasure to talk with. She showed us around the property, had water bowls available and even a small pool which our 10-month-old puppy loved. Even our 8-year-old dog put her two front feet in the pool to cool off. Serena’s property is beautiful, clean, safe, well fenced, provides both open pasture area to run and trees in the front for relaxing in the shade. We live in an area with smaller yards where dogs are required to be on a leash at all times. For the dogs to be able to run off leash was really a treat for them. Thank you, Serena! We really appreciate you sharing your beautiful land. And thank you Sniffspot for providing this connection service!
The boys loved this spot! Lots of stuff to explore and space to run. Success!
We were unable to attend our reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, however the host was very communicative, responsive, and willing to accommodate. We look forward to going again soon.
My dogs LOVED this spot. Lots of space to play, nice, fresh counrty air, and my boy was obsessed with making friends with the horse! Serena was so kind and accommodating too! We'll be back here soon!❤
Serena is such a great host. She showed us her beautiful property and even introduced us to her farm family (adorable goats and a very sweet horse). My dog and I had a fantastic time 😊.
Our dogs had a great time. We will definitely be back!
Serena is so kind and welcoming to everyone who shows up to her sniff spot. She is caring and so sweet and her property is absolutely beautiful! 5 out of 5 stars and a definite must visit if you're looking for a great and safe place for you and your dogs
Had our Great Dane Max enjoy the spot. Lots of new smells, area for him to be off leash where he could run a little. Walked around with him while talking to the host. There are some dogs next door, the goats and horse on the property were away from their fences and Max did not seem interested anyway, too many other things to smell. Just had Max alone with us, plan to go back soon and try out letting be out with the Host dogs.
Great second visit to Buttercup. Serena is so welcoming and my dogs had a fantastic time sniffing and running!!
Serena was great and my dogs had a great time running and playing on her property.
Great spot! Lots of interesting areas and things to see and sniff. Host was very kind and friendly and allowed the dogs in all areas of the property, which is fully fenced. Two bowls of water were available for the dogs as well as a ball and chuck-it. I wasn’t planning to allow my dogs to play with the goats (although the host said it was okay as long as the dogs wouldn’t bite them), but one of my dogs (55 lbs) wasn’t taking no for an answer and managed to crawl under the fence to the goat pasture. My dogs had the time of their lives playing chase with the four goats and trying to herd them (not too sure if the goats enjoyed it as much but were good sports). If your dog is a Houdini and might be aggressive toward goats, you might want to check with the host to make sure that part of the fence has been fortified. (The fence on the perimeter of the property was very secure, no problems there.) Otherwise highly recommend this spot and will be back (if the goats agree to have us)!
AMAZING yard for dogs to play in! So many areas to run around and enjoy themselves. Lots of shade for pups to cool down in as well!
Serena also had multiple water bowls out & kept refilling them for me. It was wonderful to hang out with her & my boys loved having another person to get attention from. I was even able to buy some farm fresh eggs from her.
The only thing to keep in mind is that there are barking dogs on both sides of the fence. I have a reactive dog that was unbothered, although he was distracted by his toy the majority of the time.
Serena was a great host and provided everything we needed for a fun time! There was lots of shade on the property to help keep the dogs cool and Serena provided water for them. We will visit again!
Georgia and I had a wonderful time at Butter up today. Georgia ran and sniffed and even made a new friend Petunia! We will be back!
this place has quickly earned a spot in my top favorite sniffspot locations. there’s more than enough space to fetch, wander & sniff. plus some very funny goats who kept some of the dogs entertained for the majority of time. the host was great, super friendly and welcoming. she provided water bowls and let her dogs out to play after making sure they would all make a good play group. they all had a great time and we will definitely be returning!
Serena was so sweet and helpful! She has a huge area for the dog(s) to play in that includes different smells and objects. She was very welcoming to her home and was very nice with my reactive dog. There was a huge bowl of water too available for my dog, as well. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks so much Serena!
I was so excited to find this place in Elizabeth. I just broke my leg and live in a townhome. Finding a spot I could let my two high energy Pyr Sheps run was problematic. I usually take them for 2 mile hikes every day, but with a broken leg I couldn't. Buttercup had a nice 2 acre area that was fenced with a 4' fence. There was a nice dog next door that my dogs ignored and the owner's sweet cattle dog mix came out and tried to play with my two who are mostly interested in sniffing and playing frisbee. There are a couple of goats in a pasture next door, so probably not a good place for a high prey drive dog that could jump fences. My dogs herd sheep, so they knew to ignore them unless given a command. The goats mostly stayed on the hill away from the fence. Selena was wonderful about welcoming us to her house and it was fun to talk "dog" with her. I would highly recommend Sniff Spot and Buttercup playing.
