We have a porch on the side of the home with an umbrella and table with seating up to 8. There is a large outdoor storage box that has seat covers inside with a hammock, as well. Please put everything back in when done and enjoy your visit!

Beautiful fields and woods for as far as the eye can see. Trails cut in the woods, trails cut through the fields. There is literally a trail I mow that winds all the way around the property. You can walk a sunny trail or a shady trail...my wife and I walk this trail with our six...yes you read that correctly SIX dogs just about every day. We are so lucky to call this home..I thought why not share it with you guys.

Pibble Hill

Welcome to Pibble Hill! The top pasture of this small farm is available for dogs to sniff and exercise. Sometimes there will be farm animal smells, horses and goats, and wild turkeys, rabbits and deer may also visit. My neighbor has a friendly small dog who is sometimes out in their fenced yard, but she is usually good about bringing him in if someone is in the sniff spot. There is a nice hill to tire everyone out, and a pretty view of my little farm. If you sit at the top and throw balls down the hill your dogs will get very tired! There is a trash can, bags, picnic table, a swing, a table and chairs, a fire pit chairs, a splashing trough, a dog toy box, and a hose. You can pull right in through the double red gates and close them behind you, to leave my neighbors room to drive past. This will also ensure your dogs don't escape from the sniff spot when you open the car doors. There is a large horse water trough, feel free to dump it and refill it if you need to (and if you're strong enough!) Please have fun with the dog toys - if your dog tears one up just toss out the stuffing or pieces. That's just what dogs do! I'm recovering from surgery (May/June 2026) so I'd appreciate it if you'd do an extra walk around before you leave to double check for poop - it's a bit hard for me to climb the hill just yet.

Next to the deckbox of toys, is a small beverage cart and storage with beverages hot (tea, apple cider, cocoa) and cold (bottled water) to enjoy. Enjoy a peaceful space in Mars Hill located on an active hobby farm. Our Sniffspot is fully enclosed with no-climb, 4ft goat fencing and includes walking paths. Easy access from the main road with a small graveled parking space right in front of the Sniffspot entrance. As most properties in Mars Hill, the acreage is located on a hillside, it may be steep for some. Your dog can play near the creek at the bottom of the slope which is more flat and shaded or take a short hike along the path to the top and enjoy amazing mountain views while your pup plays in the pasture! We do have chickens, goats, sheep and pigs that remain in their separate fenced in pasture, but occasionally the chickens may roam in the parking area, so please be aware.
